Yang's response to a racist political cartoon depicting him as a tourist.

Current PredictIt betting odds:

Eric Adams - 38 cents
Andrew Yang - 29 cents
Kathryn Garcia - 20 cents
Maya Wiley - 14 cents

Everyone else in single digits.

That actually seems like the most accurate top 4 right now.

New NY1/IPSOS poll. Adams in the lead, Yang losing momentum fast, and Garcia and Wiley gaining.

This was taken May 17-31st, so before the 2nd accusation against Stringer, the collapse of the Morales campaign, and the string of endorsements for Wiley.

So it seems Stringer's supporters aren't buying the allegations?

Sucks for Yang as well, he's running out of political options at this point. Guess he'll just become an activist and/or commentator?

Current PredictIt betting odds (and spoiler alert, it's bad for Yang)

1st - Eric Adams (57 cents)
2nd - Kathryn Garcia (22 cents)
3rd - Maya Wiley (14 cents)
4th - Andrew Yang (13 cents)

Everyone else at low single digits. Stringer now at 1 cent.

I think I can say it with confidence now, Andrew Yang will NOT be mayor of New York City, and his political future seems to practically be over at this point. He's probably better off as an activist/pundit now.

I've said it before but I am even more confident after watching his campaign unfold that Yang has a 0% chance of actually becoming mayor of NYC.
I don’t support Yang, in fact he’s one of my lower candidates, but how on earth are you MORE confident in that as this campaign has unfolded? All that’s become clear really is that Yang is inevitable.

I've said it before but I am even more confident after watching his campaign unfold that Yang has a 0% chance of actually becoming mayor of NYC.

^^^Complete uninformed ignorance right here

Yang is very likely to win

I've said it before but I am even more confident after watching his campaign unfold that Yang has a 0% chance of actually becoming mayor of NYC.

I get that you want to stir sh*t but this is just a laughable take

To be fair he seems to have taken a major dip since March.

Yang seems to have put his foot in his mouth again with several poorly worded responses that appear to target people with mental illnesses for why homelessness is so prevalent in NYC.

Yang, earlier: "Half of the attacks on Asian New Yorkers have been by the violently mentally ill. Yes, mentally ill people have rights, but you know who else has rights? We do, the people and families of the city. We have the right to walk the street and not fear for our safety because of mentally ill person is going to lash out at us. The fact is, mentally ill homeless men are changing the character of our neighborhoods."

He was very obviously taking about the violent mentally ill. The violent mentally ill makes up a large portion of violent attacks in the city. Nobody wants that. He has actual practical solutions to keep them off the streets and be rehabilitated.

Doesn’t matter. The media and social media will still spin the truth, and that’s what the general public is going to believe. Yang is finished, at best he finishes 4th.

Y'all are probably tired of hearing about PredictIt betting odds, but Yang is getting dangerously close to only being in single digits...

Final prediction:

Adams will win the primary, with Garcia, Yang, and Wiley getting 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place respectively. Adams will therefore become the next mayor of NYC after winning the general election on November 2nd. Meanwhile, Curtis Sliwa will win the republican primary.

Oh, & also in some other news:

I'm honestly really shocked that AOC would actually do something like this. It's gotta be such a gut-punch to his accusers.

Must've just passed them off as conspiracy theories or something.

Dems on the forum should do research on Silwa.

Certainly he might not agree with most of the leftists on policy but the guys entire life has been devoted to keeping the streets and trains safe and getting help for the most vulnerable in the city. He walks the walk and talks the talk and in todays day and age thats extremely rare. I don't agree with a lot of what he says but I sit on my laptop in suburbia most of the day while he's been living the life for decades now. I can't say sh**t.

I would 100% enthusiastically endorse Sliwa if he actually had a decent shot at winning, which it looks like he unfortunately doesn't.

Then again, literally ANYONE is better than de Blasio, and that includes Eric Adams.

Could Rojas potentially be a spoiler candidate?

Part of me hopes she is so Sliwa can win Tongue, but the other part thinks she’s just an internet candidate and will be lucky to get 10% of the popular vote.

No.

Then at most what’s the highest she probably gets in the vote?
