someone has to reform france in some harsh ways, earlier or later and miss le pen can't be the only factor regarding such important questions.

Since learning that Dupont would seemingly become PM under miss president, i looked into his stands a little bit....typical "anti-zionist" rhetoric.

How is this anti-Zionist rhetoric? He is saying black on white Israelis have the same legitimacy to the land as the Arabs.
He is actually adhering to Gaullist principles for once...

And also, this has nothing to do with his alliance with Panzergirl, nor with the revisionism and anti-semitism of the more extremist elements of the FN in past years.

1) i used those quotation marks for a reason.

2) i never suggested he changed his position or something, i just wrote i learned about his positions on this matter and - in fact - they are contrary to the "new right" ideology.

3) i wouldn't put hamas and bibi on the same level and i hate bibi and i think his positions are outdated inside of israel and inside the new-european-right.

it just seemed bollocks to me that while the le pen right is trying everything to court israel, she alliies with a guy who shares a most "centrish" or maybe even more critical position on israel's "foreign" policy.

@Rogier:

Noted! Smiley

Thanks for those links, interesting answer re: dual citizenship.

and out of the contect of the article i linked, it seems quite clear he talks about "guilt on both sides", which - in that case - would imply he talks about Hamas.

@Parrotguy....since the republicans are quite pissed about this move, is there any political career left for him anyway?

Melenchon has called voting for le pen a big mistake and Panzergirl herself is atm softening her anti-eu/anti-euro approach and - if the translation was correct - said, switching back to francs would be a low priority.

Since this big BBC interview is making waves, in which Macron calls for EU reforms and says, if he couldn't deliver on them, it would be a betrayal of his voters and lead to Frexit/Le Pen....

.... do we know what exactly he is talking about?

Afaik he mostly talked about closer integration moves.

Significant that, even after Dupont-Aignan's full backing for Le Pen, 59 per cent of his supporters won't back her in polls.

Nazi = anyone who opposes open borders

this would be kind of something close to a point, if we wouldn't talk about a miss le pen.

this is just stupid propaganda.  She has flaws but is by no means a Nazi.

don't choke on words.

her party was built to run on a fascist message, her dad is a literal fascist, they have problems with holocaust-denials again and again and only changed recently from classical "old right" neo-nazism to cool, hip, new trendy "neo-rightism", even while big parts of the party, including her niece, didn't get the message.

besides the fact, that she is dangerous for the whole country and continent anyway.

Deporting illegal immigrants and disallowing additional immigration are the only ones and those aren't even inherently fascist.

only you and people agreeing with you are even connecting those two, very american, points, which are next to useless inside of europan discussions.

her family is tainted with it and her dad got sacked not cause of his views but cause he didn't stop to share them.

personally i don't really care if she is just a hate-filled wilders-type person inside a party filled with fascists and non-fascists or a closet fascist-lite, playing a modern culturalist, she is unacceptable anyway.

if you take the word literally, even most politicans of nazi parties aren't really classical nazis anymore but far-right autocrats and putin-fanboys who detest republican values and liberalism (european meaning)....don't need any made up reasons to reject her.

Unlike her cultural associations with fascism, it's not even a bad thing.

modern putinism is quite close to crypto-fascism or at least a very religious-nationalistic kind of dictatorship, which kills and jails its enemies and everyone who is seemingly "tainting" their values.

Really? They got hacked? Absurd, they should have known better than this by now.

it is not possible to "know better" if enough state ressources are used against you.

at this point, wikileaks is just a criminal organization.

I hope they are smart enough to vote based on all the information collected, by hacking or not, as long as information is authentic.

on all authentic and important information. which means, it is impossible to know if those leaks are including anything of use 'till the election.

this is just meant to disrupt the process.

But it does not mean that there is nothing good about it at all. The more transparency the better.

this isn't helping transparency at all.

this is like....you try to go to the voting booth and in front of the polling place there is a weird guy with sunglasses, telling you something unflattering about the candidate you wish to vote for and proclaims, showing you some printed emails, that he got proof.

you don't have any effing clue if he is correct or now but you need to vote right now....this is the opposite of transparcy.
