Conservatives and Never-Trumpers that once defended the Mueller investigation are now deriding it and saying that there should be an investigation into it. Big trouble for Democrats and Mueller as more of these damaging text messages come out.

My prediction: Trump will capitalize on these leaks to show how biased the FBI is and his approval ratings will rise rapidly.

My prediction: the exact opposite of whatever you say in any given situation is likely to happen.

Tax Reform signing, big infrastructure bill coming, Mueller failing to find collusion.

What can I say. I think things are looking great for Donald Trump and the GOP as they enter 2018.

Trump predicts exoneration in Russia investigation as allies fear a 'meltdown'

My Trumpology is far from perfect (it's hard to predict the actions of the insane), but my takeaway from this is that Trump likely thinks he either has or will be able to 'make a deal' with Mueller. Keeping in mind his real skill at making such deals, probably some version of: 'You'll say I'm innocent or else'. It will work about as well as Trump's 'deals' usually do when he's not on a scripted TV show. And when what passes for his brain finally realizes that, then we'll get the mother of all tantrums.

The big question is: 'is Trump stupid enough to attempt obstruction of justice (short of firing Mueller and shutting down the investigation), in the middle of Mueller's investigation?' I suspect the answer is yes.

Exoneration is coming... probably some time before February, according to Preet Bharara. Big months of political wins for Trump and the Republicans upcoming.

Exoneration likely by January... according to Preet Bharara and Andrew McCarthy.

This throws a bathtub full of cold water on anybody hoping for collusion evidence. http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/02/politics/house-russia-investigation-partisanship/index.html

People have been saying "here comes the indictments/tapes/scandal/scoop" for the past year when Trump starts melting down on twitter. Nope. Sometimes his meltdowns and scandals do coincide, but you have to realize that he is a completely incompetent, stupid, toddler who is nowhere near smart enough to try to preempt stories.

Trump has done dozens of depositions, and never gotten snagged in them. He will have a competent if dumb interview, Mueller will not press too far, and the probe will wrap up in June with no more indictments.

Big, fat, nothingburger.

Nothing-burger. Trump has moderated so much since last June, and it's clear that there's no threat to him anymore from the fast-waning Mueller probe.

An article I posted a couple of weeks ago was saying that Mueller will try to finish his investigation well before the midterms so than nobody can accuse him of interfering with the election.

I wonder if that is even possible. That only leaves them 5 or 6 months to wrap everything up, depending on when exactly you perceive the midterm season to heat up. I think any bombshells / indictments from September onwards could influence the election, although if the last of it drops in early September, it's debatable that America would still be influenced heavily by it in November, that is, unless it's something huge like Trump being recommended for impeachment or being named an unindicted co-conspirator. I guess it is possible Mueller could wait until after the election if he wants to recommend impeachment, or has a big indictment to drop that cuts it close to the election.

It's also worth pointing out that what constitutes a "bombshell" (as in, becomes a media frenzy for a long period of time) has changed a lot since Mueller was appointed. America has grown a tolerance for the investigation and its leaks.

There has literally been 500 stories this past year that would have been massive, catastrophic scandals in the Obama administration. Trump? Approval ratings have risen 8 points in the last few months. We are completely reactionless to everything... outrageous comments, school shootings, terrorist attacks.

Looks like there was no collusion. I expect the Mueller counsel to wrap up sometime by April... maybe a little later. No more indictments, imo.

Collusion narrative BTFO

I don't get it

People got so hyped about Rick Gates taking a plea deal, thinking that he had some super-secret info on Trump that would bring him down or whatever. But his plea deal had nothing to do with Trump and the phony collusion narrative.

You have a lot invested in disproving the collusion “narrative” don’t you Limo “Liberal”

A “limousine liberal” is a derogatory term for an affluent individual who supports progressive causes, similar to a champagne socialist. The whole point of the name is a troll, and an outdated one at that.

lmao no. It's a description of who I am and the people around me - Arlington County, VA (where I live) has the highest median income in the country and is very democratic. Thus, the epitome of "limo liberals". I'm owning that term and tongue in cheek alluding to who I am - a liberal in a wealthy family in a wealthy place.

Limo's prediction on this investigation will end the same way his predictions on the PA house special election and the VA governor's race went.

Don't forget Alabama! But, I'd point out that my prediction about Tax Reform and its growing popularity as well as the rebound in Trump's approvals and the generic ballot was very accurate.

Remember when Jared Kushner/Don Jr was going to be indicted any second and Mueller was "closing in" on Trump? Lol, the collusion narrative is in shambles. The investigation into Trump will be ending very soon, the investigation into Russian trolls should continue. Such meddling needs to be prevented in the 2018 elections.

You sound really nervous. Did you help Trump collude with the Russians?

Actually, I am Jared Kushner. Got any advice on how to deal with Israel?

Wish Mueller would hurry up and end the Trump-related portion of the probe. Pretty clear there was no collusion, and every day it keeps going makes the counsel look more like a witch hunt and distracts from the important task of finding and preventing Russian meddling.
