People have been saying "here comes the indictments/tapes/scandal/scoop" for the past year when Trump starts melting down on twitter. Nope. Sometimes his meltdowns and scandals do coincide, but you have to realize that he is a completely incompetent, stupid, toddler who is nowhere near smart enough to try to preempt stories.

I actually... agree with this? In that Trump is a manchild who just flails on Twitter, rather than having a coherent strategy.

That said, I do believe there was some form of arrangement with the Russians.

That said, I do believe there was some form of arrangement with the Russians.

Maybe he doesn't do it intentionally, but maybe subliminally? Maybe there isn't any "preemption" or maybe these all are just Freudian slips.

That's just overly optimistic speculation from a hardly reliable source. If I were to guess, I'd say the meeting has something to do with the recent attacks on the DOJ/FBI by multiple house members. Wray/Rosenstein probably want Ryan to do something to tone it down.

I strongly doubt that Nunes would be indicted or even named as an unindicted co-conspirator.  But it's somewhat possible that Rosenstein and Wray could be asking Ryan to make Nunes back off the Russia investigation, from which he's supposed to be recused.

I’d be really skeptical of Malcolm Nance’s claims of who is and isn’t likely to be indicted. He’s solid on specops stuff but this is outside his wheelhouse
