I don’t want to get to deep into 1984 stuff... but let’s just say that I don’t think the Republicans describing what the FBI people did as “collusion” is an accident

It's obvious that the treasonous GOP knows that firing Mueller is too risky so instead their going to try and discredit the investigation and push multiple investigations to gum up the works and muddy the waters

Oh and Rand Paul is dumber than dogshít

I think the behavior of the Party of Trump over the last month or so has been very telling. They know Trump is guilty, and they don't care. They would rather have a criminal President set the country on fire than suffer even the smallest setback or have to admit they were mistaken about anything.

Mueller's investigation has the potential to do some good for the nation. While it won't make Trump a better President, whether it recommends Trump be charged or impeached, or whether it finds him more innocent than Clinton, it will serve to clear the air a little, and help us move forward as nation. But the GOP won't even allow that. They truly are not interested in preserving our freedom or our public government in the slightest.  The Party of Trump are working against the interests of our nation and our people. We need to stop pretending they are anything but the enemies of the United States.

This seems kind of important:

This is not even close to what Preet Bharara has been saying. If you're going to troll, at least put some effort into it.

Uhh what? I've been hearing that Mueller and his team will be working well into 2018, plus with all the evidence that has come out and Michael Flynn and George Popadopolous switching sides, there is no way Trump comes out of this squeaky clean. Stop trolling.

A ridiculous piece that uses a lack of relevant information in some areas as proof of innocence for Trump, while quickly dismissing or ignoring any evidence pointing to collusion, and falling into the fallacy that this whole thing is a witch hunt designed to invalidate an election.

You overestimate their spines (and, I fear, underestimate their ability to screw up a sure thing).

Plus, don't forget that the war Trump has a good chance of starting will shake things up.

I mean, there is at the very least an electoral incentive to investigate every nook and cranny of the Trump administration. Further, the base would demand it. Trump lit a nuclear-hot fire under the left and Democrats simply can't avoid that.

Plus, the energy they have invested in the Russia investigation, the GOP sabotaging the House investigation and the memory of Republicans mercilessly investigating Benghazi and emails for years would indicate that Democrats will show no mercy.

I hope you're right and I'm wrong. But given recent history, I'm going to be pessimistic until he's out of office (and ideally in jail). Not that I'm going to let that stop me from doing everything I can to get D candidates elected next year.

Is this something that could destroy the Republicans if halfway proven?
