Biden Ad #16: "My Pick"
Running in North Carolina, Illinois, Utah, Idaho

(Obama narrates)

I always knew Joe was the right guy for the job. I knew that he had the right experience and the right vision for America to serve as my Vice President.

We ran against each other but we came together for the common good, like all Americans do.

And he was a great VP.

We worked together to deliver healthcare to millions of Americans.

We brought justice to the victims of September 11th.

And we repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"

But more that those things, we bonded.

Through the good times

And the bad...

I picked Joe Biden as my Vice President and now it's your turn to pick him as President.

Kirsten Gillibrand Rolls Out Endorsements

Dick Durban Endorses Gillibrand in Speech in Springfield, IL

"Kirsten Gillibrand has stood up for the exact values that we have here in Illinois. She has fought for reforms to help an issue near and dear to me, immigration. On top of her focus on DACA and DAPA, she has a plan for just about everything. Her tenacity and forward focus has been highlighted throughout her career. I feel strongly that our state should work to nominate her and get her elected in November. I am so proud to endorse and campaign for Kirsten, and look forward to working with her once she wins!”

Kay Hagan Endorses Kirsten Gillibrand in Charlotte, NC

"As many of you know, I was very ill over the course of the past few years, and that illness gave me a new insight into healthcare and care giving at large. What I learned is that if I weren't as fortunate financially, I would have gone broke fighting for my life. I learned that my husband wasn't guaranteed time off to care for me when I was in recovery. This can not stand. My experience inspired me to speak up, and endorse Kirsten Gillibrand for President. She has lead the charge in healthcare reform, in paid family leave, both issues that directly impact North Carolina. We need to get out to the polls and nominate her so that none of us have to fear for our future."

Kirsten Gillibrand Runs Ad “Looking Forward” in Illinois, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, Hawaii, and Washington

“Our political system spends a lot of time fighting the last war, we look back at what’s happened, and try to figure out how to stop it.”

“The fact is, we need to look forward to tackle the problems of tomorrow, not just to try to fight battles that are over. We need bold, new ideas on financial reform, criminal justice, family leave, and immigration.”

“That’s what this campaign is about; challenging the status quo, paving a new path forward, and injecting fresh ideas in our political discourse.”

“America is at her best when we are looking forward. I’m Kirsten Gillibrand, and I support this message.”

Brown 2020: For the Future

March 13-14

Brown campaigned in Illinois these days, visiting centres of industry and heading to the low-income and minority neighbourhoods. He also made efforts to appear with as many union leaders as possible to sweeten his arrangement with blue-collar workers; as well as appearing as often as possible with Tammy Duckworth. Finally, he blasted Rubio for his comments on the Democratic race.

"I have little clue as to what the Senator is trying to achieve. Don't get me wrong, i respect him, but to say that we don't have the interests of America in mind? Please. This is coming from a man who believes climate change is a hoax.

There is only one side in this race that is pushing to end a trade war that is harming the United States. There is only one side pushing for Taft-hartley to be repealed. There is only one side pushing for the big bankers and Wall Street fat cats to be dragged to court for crimes they committed against this nation in 2008.

Here's a hint Senator: it ain't the Republican Party.

March 15-18

Brown travelled to Ohio for these days, touring his home state and building up his credentials with the blue-collar working class still. He toured his alma mater, Ohio State University, and build up support with students there. He also welcomed the backing of fellow Ohioan and former Consumer Financial Protection Bureau head Richard Cordray, who offered his full support of Brown.

Sherrod is from the working class of this country, and understand their concerns like few others. When I was the CFPB head, we dealth with cases of major companies exploting working people on a daily basis. Sherrod is here to change that, so I hope you can come out and support him on primary day."

March 19-21

These days were spent in Missouri, Florida and North Carolina, as Brown took his pro-working class message to all states. He would deploy the NAACP's considerable campaign resources in the southern states as well, appearing with their state leaders to appeal to the black vote, as well as appearing with union officials as much as possible. Notes hit included the repeal of Taft-Hartley, a raise in the minimum wage, and further blasting the major banks and calling for them to be broken up.

March 22-23

Brown used both of these days to head into California, where he once again visited poorer neighbourhoods in an effort to bring his $15 minimum wage to the poor areas. He also hit his more socially liberal notes as well, such as legal protections for the LGBT population and combating climate change. He also spoke of the possibility of modernising the Transcontinental Railroad using federal funding.

Mike Pence's Campaign Ad "Unfit" airs in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Missouri, Ohio, Idaho, Utah, Alaska, Washington, Pennsylvania and Indiana

Narrator : Sherrod Brown is unfit for the job of President of the United States. You know why?

He voted over 95 % with Chuck Schumer and Elizabeth Warren, showing that he is not willing to seek common ground on major issues facing this nation such as trade, national defense or tax reform.

He opposed the United States-India Nuclear Agreement for cooperation on peaceful uses of nuclear energy while this was supported by 86 senators on 100.

Even after 9/11, the worst attack America has ever suffered, Brown voted against the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security, a measure that reinforced our national security and prevented further terrorist attacks against us.

No wonder that the Lugar Center has ranked Senator Brown 68th on 100 in order of bipartisanship.

In addition, Brown has shifted his positions on several issues.

In 1999, as a Congressman, Sherrod Brown supported the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act that repealed Glass-Steagall and repealed regulations on Wall Street and big banks. Now he wants to restore Glass-Steagall.

In 2008, he was among the 4 Democratic senators who voted against the Carbon Emissions Cap and Trade Plan and voted to gut the Clean Air Act before he opposed a Congressional Review Act that would prohibit raising energy prices unnecessarily, demonstrating his support to Barack Obama's War on Coal that has imposed taxes and regulations on energy industry, including America's coal industry, thus closing coal mines, killing over 25 000 of American jobs in addition of shipping American jobs as well as American coal plants to China where regulations on coal are lower.

Senator Brown also flip-flopped on tax cuts since he opposed eliminating the Marriage Penalty Tax in 2000, then reversed and voted for it in 2004 before he voted against the Tax Cuts on Jobs Act in 2017.

On immigration, he voted against constructing a fence along the Mexican border five times as a member of the House, then, in September 2006, when he was running for the Senate, voted for the fence.

Sherrod Brown can't be trusted to lead this nation. He is ready to say, do or be anything to win votes. His record of political calculation is not how leadership works. America deserves better than that.

Mike Pence : I'm Mike Pence and I approve this message.

terp40hitch, I think that I sent to you my shortlist of potential VP picks, right? Have you forgot to put it among the news at the beginning of the turn? Unless you just decided to do it at the beginning of the next one during which I'm planning to announce my VP selection.

What Jeter did part 1

Jeter went back to Florida and made a surprise visit at a New York Yankees spring training games.

He campaigned in central Florida on gay rights with the sons of the late George Steinbrenner and campagined in his trade policy and how he would protect Florida’s orange farmers and it’s agriculture.

Jeter always campagined in the state on his works projects to help rebuilt Amercia’s broken infrastructure and how will be improve the highways of I-4 and I 75.

Gillibrand Campaign Schedule March 13-19th

March 13th

Victory Speech in Chicago

"They said our campaign was a regional campaign, but alongside wins in the North Marianas Islands and Maine, we nearly pulled off an upset in Mississippi and in Michigan. We have the momentum to win in Illinois! I need your help to keep up the fight for 15, Medicare-For-All, and reproductive rights. We've seen what happens when there is a leadership deficit in The White House, and I will not allow that to continue!"

Kirsten Gillibrand Holds Town Halls Across Chicago, Discussing Gun Violence

"Something astounded me about Kirsten when I first met her, and that was her tenacity. When she got to the Senate, one of the first things she did was to push against Don't Ask, Don't Tell. I remember talking to her about it, she sat me down and asked me, 'what are you going to do for our LGBT service members?' From that moment, I knew she was a fighter. That's something I have long respected, as many of you know, I had the fight for my life with a serious illness not that long ago. One thing I could never get off my mind is what would have happened to my family had I not had access to healthcare, and that outlook was so bleak. This inspired me to get involved in this election cycle, and to campaign for the person with the clearest goals for healthcare in this country, Kirsten Gillibrand."

Rally in Jacksonville, North Carolina

"This city gives me so much hope for our future. While many of us remember 2016 as a very dark turn in our country's history, your city did something great. You made Freedom Day a holiday to celebrate the passage of the 13th amendment, ending the vile practice of slavery in this country. The fact is, our fight isn't done. We still need to stop the practice of mandatory minimums, fight against racist voter ID laws, and work together to not just decriminalize marijuana, but pardon non-violent felonies that deal with drug possession. I promise you, I will follow your example."

Rallies in Gastonia and Asheville both focused on postal banking and rural development

Tour of Western part of the state, holding town halls on the impact of rural broadband development and postal banking

March 19th

Campaign Heads to Florida

Rally in Tallahassee

"Florida made history just two years ago by electing the first woman to serve as governor of this great state. What 2018 has shown us is that when women run, women win. Women bring such different skills to the table, such as a more collective way to lead and coming from a place of compassion. Right now, this country needs some compassion for the rights of the children who were ripped from their parents' arms by this administration's policies, for the transgender men and women who just want to serve our country and were told no, for our citizens in Puerto Rico, who were forgotten by Mike Pence and Donald Trump after a hurricane decimated the island, and for everyone struggling to make ends meet while millionaires are getting tax cuts left and right. Tallahassee, let's make history together."

Rally in Jacksonville, focusing on common sense gun control and paid family leave

Listening tour around Jacksonville and its suburbs, hearing constituent concerns on various issues, most vocal were the supporters of Medicare-For-All

Tour of Jacksonville public schools, meeting with teachers about education reform

Kyrsten Sinema responds to Castro.

I haven't got the foggiest idea where Joaquin got that statement from. I endorsed Sherrod when I dropped out  and I'm proud to be campaigning for him in the great state of Arizona. I ask that the statement is immediately retracted and am launching an internal investigation to see if this came from my office. I suggest Joaquin do the same for his campaign.
