Trump's best approval ratings came during his first impeachment. This could martyrize him and even give him a huge boost if he gets off. Still, the GOP primary is safe Trump now. Fine by me as DeSantis is far more terrifying.

People are over the Stormy Daniels bulls**t and have been since 2018. This is ridiculous.

Good thing the justice system doesn’t make decisions based on what people are “over” or not.

We have for decades :

Nixon
Clinton
Wall Street Bakers
People behind GITMO

Etc

Are you really suggesting that is a good thing?

Nixon should not have gone to jail for Watergate , Clinton should not have for perjury and nobody in the Bush admin should have .

This is the most bootlicking post I've ever read. And Dick Cheney should be executed for war crimes.

A bold stance in favor of elite impunity. Hell of a populism you've got there.

I’m not a populist . I despise the fact we are in populist era and really wish our politics went  back to the 1980-2008 consensus even though that won’t happen.

I do think the bankers should have been prosecuted but that’s the only one of the 4

The consensus of trickle down economics, endless wars and the imperial presidency? You're damn right we're never going back to that era and thank God we aren't.

Top minds of Atlas

This story died off quick as can be.

Might’ve been a fundraising ploy. Doesn’t seem this is happening.

Just as I suspect. Trump will never be arrested. He’ll never be charged. It’s been fantasy talk since 2016

The grand jury keeps getting more an more incompetent, yet an indictment is supposed to "hurt" him.

Don't get your hopes up for next week either.

If I had to bet money, I don't think Trump will be indicted. I'll believe it when I see it. Its been 8 years of investigations.
I was wrong, I'm surprised Bragg decided to end Dems' 2024 hopes by indicting Trump for paying off a porn star.

Yeah, so many people were eager to vote for Biden and now they're going to vote for Trump because he's been indicted in a criminal investigation, and for no other reason. They're big fans of Biden's policies but they just can't bear to deny the Republican under indictment their vote. I know that this forum attracts a lot of bottom-of-the-barrel commentary, but can you not comprehend how out of touch with reality your posts are?
Stick to calling politicians fat. Prognostication is clearly not in your wheelhouse.

This coming from someone who can’t “prognosticate” any negative effects of the US withdrawing from the world.

I thought BG was a full blown isolationist but now that Trump wants to invade Mexico he's all in. Thought he was more capable of holding to his principles but devotion to Trump must come first I guess.

Those two aren't contradictory at all? He's staring his adversary in the eye.
I was talking about how you flip flop between liking Trump and not liking Trump.
I don't like Trump. I just think he's the best option we have.

You don't have to lie. You can say you want fascism because you're also a fascist. It's okay. We already know.

I'm a nationalist, not a fascist. I don't support authoritarian government for Americans. I support social libertarianism for citizens, and am anti-intervention/anti-foreign aid/anti-immigration/anti-free trade.

In other words, you're a Fascist.

Struggling to think of any fascist leaders who were/are social libertarians.

trump

Yeah... no. Someone who gave constant gifts to the religious right, appointed countless Christo-authoritarian nut jobs to the courts and led numerous assaults on civil liberties and free speech is not a social libertarian. Trump is a social libertarian in his private life but not as a leader.

Are you…at all familiar with this poster’s views?!?!

Fascism and social libertarianism cannot function together. It's impossible.

Name one example from history who is both fascist and socially libertarian policy wise.
