Pretty good. I'd recommend it. Unlike my favourite Canadian movie, Americans would not feel lost watching this one.

What needs to be said?

BATMAN FOREVER

Absolutely horrible. Thank God that Chris Nolan came in.

Sahara. Talk about a movie that looked promising then went COMPLETELY off topic. At least in the last 15 minutes of the movie they got back on topic and wrapped it all up!

now, nolan's vision is much MUCH better than schumacher's.  and Batman and Robin is atrocious (but a hoot to watch).  I do not mind "forever" though.  completely different and more than often silly, but not terrible IMHO.

Rented The Kingdom.  Decent film.  The last 20 seconds were powerful and worth the price of rental.

At the theater -- Space Chimps.  Horrible.  Absolutely horrible.  But my seven year old loved it.  And I had fun watching her watch the movie.

Which is..?

Speaking of Canadian Films, one the last films I saw was My Winnipeg which made the city sound like a cool place tbh even if totally fictional in a factual way (you have to see it for it to make sense.) Today however I saw Wall-E but wasn't impressed even if I do like most things post-apoclayptic.

I saw the Dark Knight over the weekend and I've got nothing more to say about that movie that hasn't already been said.

I rented Harold & Kumar: Escape from Guantanamo Bay in the hotel room yesterday... it was actually kind of good.  The only thing that ruined it is how they seemed to force-feed in all the pot jokes.

entire movie:

*funny scene where I am laughing*

Kumar or a minor character: "Oh, BTW, let's smoke pot because we are potheads"

---

They could've left every single one of those weed jokes out of the movie (except for the bong/bomb) and the movie wouldn't have been any different.

X Files: I want to Believe

I thought it was good and not boring, though if you don't like the show you won't like the movie. It was just like one longer episode.

I just watched a classic favorite "The Rock", a 1996 action film with Sean Connary, Nicolas Cage, and Ed Harris. Classic Michael Bay...and the President in this film is the same President as in "Armageddon", thus connecting the two films.

I got the impression the director thought a lot of Republicans would go to the movie misinformed thinking it'd be some rah-rah jingoistic film and through that in at the end to give them a real suckerpunch.

Although I'm not a big fan of the show (I've only seen a handful of episodes), I did enjoy it. It's really hard to go wrong with the amount of chemistry that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have together.

Get Smart - Alan Arkin was great, but overall, I give the movie a mediocre C.

Nah...I know any film Hollywood releases about the war on terror has to have a slant, thus I just don't see them and stick to Jack Bauer shooting terrorists on "24".

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm - The best of the movies in the series, and, up until TDK, the greatest single film length adaptation of Batman.
