Is this true?

Something tells me Trump ain't gonna do much better than Cruz 2018, in margin and support.

I still believe!

Trump win or Biden win - either way let’s give up the Georgia pipe dream.

At least you're consistent with your pessimism

OMG

Alicia Parlapiano, in Washington 6m ago

The registrar in Clark County (Las Vegas) said the county would release the next batch of votes around noon ET on Friday. Remaining votes include mail and provisional ballots.

are you kidding me? it should not take 24 hours to count another batch

Agonizingly slow vote counts isn't just a California feature. It's a regional feature

It would be truly wild to see Biden lose Arizona but win Georgia - once again showing how literally every prior everyone had going into this race was hot garbage.

Goes with my belief that everyone was gonna have egg on their face during this election somehow (I certainly got plenty on me. Come on Georgia!)

I was just about to head off to bed, but then I saw that Georgia margin. Now I can't rest until it turns blue for the first time in my lifetime

Feels like MSNBC are completely downplaying the incoming Georgia flip in favor of Pennsylvania. Katy Tur practically said "Georgia flipping is neat, but we're really only here for Pennsylvania". Luckily, Steve Kornacki is there to explain the political importance & context to such a flip.

I get Pennsylvania in terms of instantly declaring Biden the winner and getting some much-needed sleep, but Blue Georgia is literally decades in the making. To echo Penn_Quaker_Girl, my apolitical friends are also staying up and posting Instagram stories about Georgia & Stacy Abrams. Not even Arizona got this much attention in the last 72 hours.

I know CNN is Atlanta-based, but I'm glad they're taking the time to absorb the impact of Georgia (Biden's recent visits, Abrams, Senate runoffs, #trends, etc.).

Certainly more time than MSNBC is willing to dedicate.

Sorry Beto. I still love ya, but I think Stacy Abrams just won herself that Employee of the Month parking spot at the White House (or DNC headquarters)

Funny I was just about to post how everyone on Atlas hated on Stacy Abrams (including myself!) while praising Beto for his Texas campaign... very glad that Biden's campaign ignored Beto's request for a visit & went to Georgia instead.

I gotta admit that I didn't know much about her GA outreach as I did Betos outreach in TX. I would've easily said he was doing a superior job as soon as 5 PM PST on Tuesday. I'm just ecstatic at what she helped flourish after the heartbreaking Dem performance every which way in Texas.

Also, I found a lot of the negativity towards her during the VP search very unfair. I'm glad she's completely turned that around in the last 72 hours.

This thread is practically a live blog documenting the fall of Florida & rise of Georgia in future Democratic politics/campaigning.

From Tuesday's frightening numbers in Miami-Dade to today's jublient returns around Atlanta.

Atlas: "Thank God slow-counting California won't be deciding this election."

Arizona/Georgia/Nevada/Pennsylvania: "Hold our beers..."

Maybe Biden should wait until tomorrow to give his prime time speech. It might have more oomph if Biden is the official President-elect instead of the presumed President-elect.

Wasn't the 2016 election called during the middle of Trump's victory speech?

I want John King's gentle and smooth hand movements to usher me into the afterlife

The hand movements alone would be enough for me to want a John King interview with Gavin Newsom

It's clear that we aren't getting a call tonight until Monday. If you're waiting up for a call, just go to bed or tune out this whole thing.

The media networks continue to be annoying and irresponsible.

Arizona gonna come down to 3-5k Biden lead I think, wow Fox/AP wont make the same mistake again

Remember when Georgia was one of the first states to be called on Election Night '92 and it ended up being the closest state that year?

Or New Mexico being called on Election Night '00 even though it ended up having a closer vote margin than Florida?

These things happen and, luckily, it's not gonna be the difference between 270 for Biden or Trump

Biden's lead in California is now over 5 million.  Insane.  But so many wasted votes.  That really explains the entire problem Dems have in the electoral college and senate.

If California gerrymandered they could give themselves a real advantage in the house.  But of course Dems love sticking to their principles while the GOP destroys the country.

A. "Really bad for Democrats to see California vote as strongly for them this year. Portends to ominous trends in the Electoral & popular vote gap."

B. "Really bad for Democrats to see California swing very slightly to the right this year. Portends to ominous trends in their future appeal to Asians/Hispanics"

Choose your own California political adventure. Either way, California can do no right

That's nothing. I wanna know how many counties Bill Clinton won in Georgia in 1996 compared to Biden this year

Wow, Brian Carroll's message must have really resonated with the people of Douglas County.

All these mentions of Brian Carroll is making me want to listen to Buckethead
