At this point, someone should be making some phone calls reminding them whose going to in charge of FEC licensure for the next four years. They are obviously either scared of Trump and his follower reactions or actively aiding him for ratings.

While I get why AP wont call PA, I'm not sure why everyone else wont.

I believe a recount can be requested if lead under 35k or so, guess they're waiting for that to pass

At the very least, I don't understand why the networks, with the exception of AP and Fox News, won't call Nevada for Biden. That won't cause him to go above 270 in their electoral college counts and they are already in disagreement with AP/Fox when it comes to Arizona so  why not just call it?

This is just flat-out irresponsible on behalf of these media organizations not to call this race now. This is fueling Trump's narrative of sewing doubt in the results. They shouldn't be covering his stupid lawsuits either, which have zero evidence of fraud in them. It's juts whining.

I still think if Biden speaks tonight it should be a reaffirmation of confidence but not an official victory speech. I guarantee you all the networks will bookend the whole thing with the "Trump can still win" caveat and I don't think that's something we need right now.

Coons was just on MSNBC from the Delaware setup and you could see the staging for tonight was basically not happening. The lights were off, no cars, etc. And his messaging was waiting for all the votes to be counted.

So seems like no victory speech tonight.

Just to be clear we have a candidate that has over a 99% certainty to have won, his opponent is openly campaigning to stop counting and throw out ballots, and the media has spent two days now pretending it’s anyone’s game.

Also, the coverage after an overwhelming (by US political standards) majority chose one candidate over the other is all ‘closely divided nation’ and ‘why didn’t the winner do better’.
