(sigh)

Reading the Constitution, this type of move could lead to interesting litigation down the road.

Of course, maybe I'm wrong.  Especially since no one ever seems much interested in reading the Constitution.

Certainly not! I didn't think such a case would interest you, since it's not another opportunity for you to justify your homophobia in wordy legalese.

Comments like this really aren't worth a dignified response.

But I'm also not going to go around whining like a loser and deleting people's posts on my own forum because of it.

How so, Justice Sam?

I'm afraid my duty as a potential judge to such litigation forbids me to say much more than what I already have.

And even though I have to get in my small jabs here and there, the preceding words are merely an attempt to be helpful and to point out some issues before they arise.

Best Wishes, Mr. Chief Justice.  It has been an honor to serve with you.

Are we on the topic of the Supreme Court? Old quotes time!

I can't say that I have any faith in opebo or Texasgurl to uphold the laws of our Region (much less Atlasia).

I still don't.  That's not particularly news around here.

Hah!

Even though I feel sad to see bullmoose go, he has a point about change - it is exciting!  Who might the new Justice be?  Its an intriguing development in Atlasian politics.  Will the balance of the Court change?  I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat.

When will we hear more about this process?  Mr. President?

If the balance of the Court doesn't change, I'll be surprised.

Well, I'd like to thank the President for the nomination, even though I am a bit surprised.

The new Court will be interesting.

Here's a bit of an ignorant question though Tongue

Since I'm PPT and a Senator, surely I don't open my own hearing and vote on myself..

Not knowing the answer to this question, you understand, makes you ineligible for a place on this Court.  So sorry.

Question. Do I need to open confirmations for both Spade's promotion and Marokai Blue for AJ, or just the latter?

History question:  What happened when President Reagan nominated Justice William Rehnquist for Chief Justice and then nominated Antonin Scalia for the position of Associate Justice?

Rhenquist nearly got Borked.

Answer to question is "both".

Didn't know you could have gotten Borked before the term was actually invented.  Tongue

You're too hard on us, Spade. It's just called confusion with Atlasian procedure.

It's just a joke.  Relax.  I don't bite.  Smiley

Both.
Really?

Wouldn't the hearing on Maro have to wait until after a hypothetical confirmation of the man whose opinion in a certain case I'm still waiting for?

That situation can be rectified quite quickly if I wished...  Tongue

My head's doing okay Sam, but thanks for being concerned. Smiley

I was speaking of Franzl, but I understand your confusion.
