Warren and her campaign have repeatedly crossed a Culinary picket at the Palms Casino Resort in Nevada

There are no economically viable natural gas reserves in Georgia, and effectively zero in North Carolina. The (GOP-controlled) House in Georgia passed an anti-drilling resolution this session, while Cooper's efforts to block offshore drilling off the NC coast have been widely popular. Floridians are, of course, militantly anti-drilling. There's no pro-drilling, pro-fracking constituency in Colorado, or Arizona, or Nevada. Why would you say "the Sunbelt" when you mean "Texas"?

There aren't enough people pro-drill/pro-frack people in the state to swing it to Trump

There's no "Paid for by you (not the millionaires and billionaires)" on her ads.
Wonder why she can't use this tagline! Think there might be something more basic than principled opposition to the rhetoric...

Oh, she also doesn't brazenly encourage her supporters to always assume the worst of people who would otherwise be allies.  Because she understands that she needs all the help she can get to enact her agenda.  Where Bernie, on the other hand, doesn't want any help because he thinks he can force Mitch McConnell to support single-payer health care by sending an army of college students to protest in suburban Kentucky.

Oh no Sad Bernie supporters are assuming that billionaires are bad people Sad They're being so mean to Jeff Bezos! How ever will I secure my campaign contributions now?? Sad

Warren must really have folks sweating because this thread seems to have been invaded by fake progressives who vote Trump, and the followers of a failed political movement.
The thread is to discuss Elizabeth Warren's campaign for president, not to uncritically promote Elizabeth Warren.

Sjoyce, I like you and I think you don’t deserve a lot of the criticism you get, but this is just stupid.
Are there smart posts on the 2020 boards?

This is a place where all the most awful people on this forum congregate to say horrible things about my candidates — I don't really feel bad about "doing bad posts" in a way that disrupts their doing that.

I personally don't give a crap about outreach to Sanders supporters, that ship has sailed.
Why does something tell me you won't be saying the same thing come November 2020? With this kind of rhetoric, gonna be kinda tough to blame us for voting third party...

She is such an obvious stooge that she might actually do exactly that.

It's really impossible for you to imagine that there might be genuine opposition to the political beliefs you hold, isn't it? Everyone I don't like is an agent of Putin

It's too early to make bad assumptions about Warren touch with the base. The fact she's doing so well on the most prominent progressive forum is a gleaming sign she's going to be the challenger to beat in the primary.

She's doing well with the kind of people who post on DU. Not good!

Yeah she's a dominatrix who whipped a Marine 22 times before having intercourse.

So happy Dominatrix are finally getting much needed representation in politics. Every little dominatrix who sees Warren win the presidency will be able to tell themselves ''If she can be president, so can I.''.
As if Klobb wasn't running already!

Those are the voters who'll swing Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania and if you shun them, you lose thise three states and the election.
I don't see any reason to think this is true — it's hard to argue that swings among non-college-educated white voters in these states was the only decisive factor, or somehow more decisive than, say, a decline in black turnout...

Warren would essentially absorb literally all of the Sanders votes, so isn’t Warren really far in the lead, more than the polls currently indicate?
Your working assumption here is that most Sanders voters are ideologically driven — I don't think this is true (for any group of voters, really)

Bernie’s answer to getting it passed with a minority or without blowing up the filibuster is having rallies in Kentucky so......

Speaking of Kentucky!

Fascinating to learn that Warren would fail the US history AP exam.
