I likewise sign both of DWTL's resolutions.

I'm glad that August's initiative election had garnered so much interest.

Southeast Removal Act

WHEREAS the Southeast was boring and unexciting region

WHEREAS the region was reborn into a new era in August 2008

WHEREAS the region dually adopted the new "Dirty South" to signify the rebirth

WHEREAS the term "Dirty South" is still not used on most official proclamations

The Dirty South region formally drops its dual-name and shall henceforth only be known as the Dirty South

Should be an interesting vote on a whole range of issues with obviously the creation of the assembly being the most important but most likely not the most entertaining.  I want to think of some more, but they are not coming to me at this moment.  Maybe this one will work though:

Why the Need for Special Election Act?

To amend the current text of Article I, Section 9 of the Dirty South Constitution which currently reads:

Should the Governor vacate his office for any reason, the Lieutenant Governor shall become Governor and may serve out the remainder of the Governor's term. If the Lieutenant Governor should for any reason vacate his position, a special election shall be immediately held to fill the seat for the remainder of the term. If the Governor and the Lieutenant Governor vacate their positions at the same time, a special election shall be held to fill both positions for the remainder of the term

to

Should the Governor vacate his office for any reason, the Lieutenant Governor shall become Governor and may serve out the remainder of the Governor's term.  During this time, the now acting governor may appoint a Lieutenant Governor of their own.  If the Lieutenant Governor should for any reason vacate his position, the governor shall appoint a new lieutenant governor to finish out the rest of a term.

Not to sound like Xahar, but I went and started to read about the previous Southeast Assembly, and the reason it sucked is because everyone was involved and it got too chaotic.  That's why a three man thing would work just fine

Well, it's important the Heroes of the Party are immortalized in all manner of monuments throughout the region. Perhaps soon we will see a golden statue of Duke that rotates to always be facing the sun.

KoTBP did not belong to the RPP, and if he did during his short return (which is possible I am not sure) it has nothing to do with his reign as govenor and tragic downfall.  The only way a statue would be made for Duke, myself, SPC, etc. is if we were killed

Monument to the Greatest Magistrate 3V4R!!!1111ONE2 Act

The region shall invest a total not to exceed $200 trillion on building a statue one billion cubits tall, the foot of which is to be firmly planted upon the Governor's Plantation, to honor the glory of Magistrate John Dibble.

I would support your amendment if you were dead

It's not an amendment, just an act on it's own. By the way, this is a rough sketch of what it would look like:

But if me being dead is a concern, you can bury me under it once I'm dead. Like the ancient Egyptians, I prefer that my tomb is completed before I'm dead.

Well since you drew a replica sketch, I feel all but obligated to sign it.  However, I would wish for the dimensions and cost to be brought down sizable or for you to find a private investor (who under circumstances has to actually exist)

Per Article II of the Southeast's Constitution, an initiative requires at least three signatures to go on the ballot. Only two initiatives have so far met this requirement:
  • Magistrate Title and Powers Amendment, proposed by John Dibble
  • Filthy South Bill, proposed by John Dibble

These have not:
  • Bailout Refusal Act, proposed by SPC (needs 1 more signature)
  • Regional Legislature Amendment, proposed by PiT (needs 1 more signature)
  • Governor's Plantation Act, proposed by DWTL (needs 1 more signature)
  • Monument to KoTBP Act, proposed by DWTL (needs 1 more signature)
  • Southeast Removal Act, proposed by DWTL (needs 2 more signatures)
  • Why the Need for Special Election Act?, proposed by DWTL (needs 2 more signatures)
  • Monument to the Greatest Magistrate 3V4R!!!1111ONE2 Act, proposed by John Dibble (needs 1 more signature)

I urge the citizens of the Dirty South to sign all the aforementioned initiatives posthaste to ensure their place on the ballot.

Daniel Adams, you know that if you sign them they automatically go on the ballot?  (or that's the way I've always interpreted the constitution)

Can you cite the passage? Article II states that "Such a petition shall have at least three signatures of registered Southeastern voters in order to be added to the ballot at the next Initiative election." If the governor proposes an initiative, it automatically goes on the ballot, according to Article I. Also, I could declare any initiative an emergency and hold an immediate election. However, as I read the Constitution, if I haven't proposed an initiative or declared it an emergency, it needs three signatures.

I think he wants you to simply propose it yourself, automatically adding it to the ballot.

I suppose I could do that, but at the expense of less citizen participation in the process.

Not saying what I think you should do. Just interpreting what DWTL is saying. We all know he tends to see executive power in a different light than many, so it is, at the end, your call Governor.
