Wrong.

Let's recap.  Attended the same public schools, ran for president at the same time, at least one is still alive.

One more hint, they both served in the same legislative body at the same time.

No, because both went to different private schools.  The ones attended the same public schools.

I'll give two more hints, in bold.

Two presidential candidates attended the same public schools,

1.  In the same party.

2.  In the last 24 years.

3.  Ran against each other for president.

4.  Both served in the same legislative body at the same time.

5.  At least one is still alive.

Name them.

Right, seeing as all the history quizzes on this board are US History Quizzes I decided I would make a general one on the history of everything from music to war.

First set of questions:
8. Who was the only British Monarch of the House of Saxe-Coburg?

Was it the Duke of Windsor or Edward VIII (not sure the number)? Didn't they change the name of the house from Saxe-Coburg to Windsor to make it sound more English then German in the early 1920's?

It was his father, George V, (1910-36), who changed the name of the house from "Saxe-Coburg-Gotha" to "Windsor."  There is some question that the actual surname was "von Wettin."

Despite a Royal Proclaimation to the contrary, Charles of Wales may choose "Mountbatten," the Duke of Edinburgh's adopted surname, or "Mountbatten-Windsor."  The Duke's orignial surname was "Sonderburg-Glucksburg," though his title was "Prince Phillip of Greece."

That's easy. It has the most badgers per mile of any state. I used to live there.

Actually Al, it is a correct answer, just not the one you were looking for.

I'll think about the one you are looking for.

Back in the 1800's miners used to dig mines and holes all over Wisconsin. These miners would live and sleep in these mines while looking for lead.

It reminded people of badgers.

I believe Her Majesty changed the named officialy to Mountbatten-Windsor.

The last I heard, for decendants without the "HRH" style; that was 1960.  Charles, along with all of the Queen's childred have, by letters patent (issued by George VI), have the HRH style and "Prince."

Anne, however, signed her marraige certificate to Mark Phillips as "Mountbatten-Windsor."

It's really going to be up to the next monarch to determine the name.

Yeah, I think that may be true. It might be if they just choose that name over just plain old Windsor. Also I believe that Prince Edward is not styled as HRH rather as TRH, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, and there they choose for there children not to have royal titles. There childs name is Lady Louise Alice Elizabeth Mary Mountbatten Windsor.
