All of the sudden McCain swings back into contention and we end up either in a tie or a Virginia/Colorado/Ohio recount that lingers well into December.

I don't want the election called too early, but I want it called within 6 hours after Alaska closes (the final state to close at 12:00 am CST).

I want it to be Wednesday somewhere in the United States before its called.

I'll stay up until 8 or 9 am regardless of when its called.

Something that will suck on election day, though, is I have a Dr's Appt to get my blood pressure checked and get some medicine for my hypertension, but thats at 9:50 am, so I should be home long before noon.

What's going to suck most for me is not seeing Indiana get called for the republican at 6pm.  That's when it's really going to hit home for me that we're going to lose this one.

Well, Indiana is trending toward McCain now.  Considering McCain wins IN by around 7-10 points, I think there is a chance that it could get called for McCain after the polls close there.  Obviously, that's not saying much, though.

McCain will know the knife has gutted long before, and will be gracious. He will have prepared himself for it. Now if it is a knife edge election, and he is speaking the next day, that is another matter. I don't expect that to happen.

I disagree.  Not long ago, McCain was the favorite to win the election, and then his prospects were shattered when the stock market crashed.  He wanted to be president for years, and to see him lose an election for something that isn't his fault, I can't imagine he wouldn't be disappointed as hell.

I can only see that being a problem if you're drunk.
