Combining his two namesakes, he'd have a crippling drinking problem, a hideous spit-curl, and an obsession with the Suez Canal.

Being the first president to be impeached within six months of entering the Oval Office for hacking the internet account of his rival in the previous election.

A somewhat productive, though scandal-ridden administration, marked by an oppositional relationship with the press.

I just described Richard Nixon, didn't I?

Well, not quite like that... a toned down Nixon, in all areas.

A rather popular Republican President, narrowly re-elected.

Brings about an Economic Depression b/c of his high taxes. Loses reelection by a landslide after he allies with Iran to blow Isreal off the map. He also has more scandals then Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon, Warren Harding and Ulysses Grant combined.

Note: This was aimed at Ogis not Potter. I thought I put his last post in as a quote. I know he didn't precede my post but I couldn't resist.

Attempts to fulfill his pledge to be a second Calvin Coolidge.  Is remembered as the second Herbert Hoover.

I'd actually agree with that.

SKIP!  I can't do justice to Naso.

A well liked Democratic President with approval ratings in the high-forties and low-fifties throughout his Presidency, he narrowly loses reelection to a Conservative firebrand who makes him look phenomenal by comparison.

In later years, becomes an elder statesman noted for his ability to forge compromises both at home and abroad.

Angers the Democratic base at times, loses re-election extremely narrowly, resulting in a recount which gives the Republican nominee the White House.

Tries desperately to be Ronald Reagan, but ends up more like George H.W. Bush.  He can't understand why things aren't going swimmingly despite applying the principles he firmly believes.

He loses reelection due mostly to bad luck and becomes one of the least understood presidents in history.
