To clarify the party's position on abolition of the cabinet, we'll have a vote.

If you're for abolition vote aye, and if you're not vote nay. Starting now and ending 2/15, midnight.

If the ayes win, then we will adopt this as part of the platform.

First I would like to congratulate Xahar on his win last night.   Though we obviously do not agree on alot of things, he is a good PLPer and I am sure he will soon be a great Atlasian senator.  I however would like to reiterate that his ideas on cabinet reform must be brought under scrutiny before we allow them to go before the rest of Atlasia.  Finally I would like to thank my supporters.  Thank you very much everyone!

Mr. Chairman I would like to inquire as to whether or not the current vote is still on the table?

If so, my vote is NAY.

My fellow Progressives,

First off, I'm incredibly grateful to have you endorsement for the Mideast Senate race. I'm confident that we will hold Sen. Sensei's seat and continue to help make Atlasia better. Thank you, and I will not let you down.

I am relatively new to Atlasian politics and thus do not have such a long memory to harbor grudges or rivalries. I was drawn to serve Atlasia by the incredible knowledge and dedication of those who inhabit our great political environment, and I am honored to be among you all. I was particularly impressed with the strong record of the PLP and it was a very happy day when I joined out great party.

As you all probably have as well, I have noticed during this convention that we as a party have become divided on two issues - the vice-chair race and the abolition of the cabinet. Both decisions seem to split into roughly similar camps  - the younger, ambitious members on one side and the old, powerful guard on the other side. I personally feel torn here. One camp originally recruited me to Atlasia, while the other camp is of leaders whom I respect from my home region - the greatest region in Atlasia.

Discussion amongst the party is good and makes us stronger. But I urge our party to unite and set aside our differences once this convention ends. We all share the same vision for Atlasia, and we all share the most important goal right now - electing Sensei the next President of the Atlasian Republic. There is much more that unites us than divides us, and I hope that I and other members do not have to make the unfortunate decision of picking between two factions - all I want to pick is my party, and I proudly pick the Progressive Liberal Party.

Long Live the PLP, Long Live Sensei, and Long Live Atlasia!

The nays have it on Cabinet Abolition. This will NOT be made part of the party platform.

I agree wholeheartedly with the valuable sentiments expressed by the Future Senator, though his conclusion is slightly monarchical.
