Yes.

He's FAR more deserving of sympathy than Trump.

No. Convicted felons should face the appropriate consequences no matter who they are. Take note Republicans.

I'm a pro-2A Democrat. It'd be very hard for me not to feel sorry for Hunter.

He had a fair trial, but just from everything he has gone through in life and how he has become a fixture for right wing conspiracy theories really makes me sympathize with the guy, and his kids and partners over the years too.

It's pretty difficult to not feel sorry for the guy who lost his little sister and mother in a car accident when he was very young, lived in the shadow of his much more successful brother for decades, only to lose him to cancer, and then suffer from drug addiction for years.

Yes, doesn't mean he's not guilty or that he shouldn't face consequences for his actions.

He's a living example of survivor's guilt.

Actually yes.

I think he's a good guy at heart, just messed up badly. I hope he gets or already got his act together. I certainly believe it haunts him to be a political liability for his father. Seems like that's more than enough punishment for him. Not to mention he lost his mother and sister at a very young age before his brother died way too soon.
