America, it shows that we can have more than just two candidates and could help third party candidates in the future.

Biden overwhelmingly. If Democrats were smart they'd be helping RFK Jr. behind the scenes.

No one. It just feeds the audience more misinformation than they will already hear with Trump at the podium.

Trump of course.   It would actually help make him look more normal.  I hate to say it because of my past work with Bobby (before he went off the bend), but "crazy normalizes crazy".

Can confirm, attention helps me.

Edit: this joke worked better when my display name was “RFK Jr.’s Brain Worm”

America doesn't want a third party. It hasn't seriously wanted one in over a century and even those parties never achieved much success. There isn't some secret conspiracy that has held third parties back it's just that the voters don't want one. And multi-party democracies are often a train wreck in organizing a government (see Israel, Italy, etc.)

With that said debating two insane people would benefit Biden.

Actually it's more that using FPTP as a voting system requires strategic voting and thus over time forces a two-party system. That we periodically see strong third party candidates like George Wallace, John Anderson, Ross Perot, Ralph Nader '00, Gary Johnson '16, and it appears RFK this year despite using FPTP shows that many americans are indeed geninuely wanting something outside of the two parties, although you're correct that many hasn't been equivalent to most although there have been some interesting cases in a few states (Sanders, Angus King, Chafee '10).

Yes, the 2-party system sucks, but that doesn't mean the presence of a nutcase who is only on the national stage because of his last name and the support of billionaires is helping 'democracy' in any meaningful sense.

Agreed. Thanks for being sensible.

Being an "Independent" only means so much when you are completely unqualified and being little more than a distraction.
