I don't know about the rest of you; but the way Trump is behaving, I think he's totally scared of Nikki Haley. How is it that this doofus is completely intimidated by women! He claims otherwise, as well as he might! But, the facts speak for themselves! He claims he's on the top of his game, but the facts state otherwise; I mean if he was which he isn't, he'd have no problem going up against Nikki. A prime example of Don's gognitive decline, is how he mixed up Nikki Haley with Nancy Pelosi.
Why is it, that Trump wanted to be declared the presumptive nominee? There was blow back and the con artist had to back track. Careful Don the Con, you could yet lose the nomination the way you're alienating folks, you don't need to alienate. Because trust me, there is a big likliehood you could alienate the Haley base. You need to assemble a broad coalition if you're to beat Sleepy Joe. Anyway Trump is just wussy fraidy Cat! And this character wants to be the leader of the Free world. Please already!

The Biden trump rematch is proof of why we can’t have nice things.

I think he’s more annoyed than scared bc he genuinely cannot understand how other Americans can disagree with anything that defers slightly from his version of  “make America great again” philosophy.

He's triggered she even got this far and thinks he was entitled to nomination from the start.

He's scared because he knows he doesn't have the nomination locked up. At any moment, a court could take him out of the running and if that happens, he wants to make sure one of his sycophants is his replacement. That way he can still be in control behind the scenes. But so long as Haley sticks it out and is accumulating delegates, she is the de facto nominee should Trump be taken out. And he can't he control her. Nor can he trust her to pardon him, even though she said she would

Got "this far" meaning getting 25% of the Republican vote and taking corporatist globalist donor money?

He can't win the general without getting her 25% share of the Republican vote and her donor's support.

Polling indicates that many of them, as of now, won't fall back to Trump when/if she leaves

She's currently won about 37% of the votes cast in the two states that have held a primary or caucus.

Most of the Haley voters that "will never vote for Trump" already voted for Biden back in 2020

Afraid is the wrong word - I would say very concerned, and rightly so.  Why?  Take your pick from this list:

1. Trump is concerned about Haley because she makes him look older and equates his age to Biden's.
2. Trump is concerned about Haley because he does not control her in the case courts eliminate him (and he needs a stand-in candidate ready to pardon him).
3. Trump is concerned about Haley because he is thin skinned and cannot sustain any criticism.
4. Trump is concerned about Haley because her persistence sends the wrong signal to many Republicans who do not like Trump but have opportunistically endorsed him.
5. Trump is concerned about Haley because he has a pathological need for submission and humiliation of his opponents and he has not yet done that with her.
6. Trump is concerned about Haley because she is utilizing 20-30% of funding that he wants, which could easily spin off into a third party bid if he strong arms her (hence the dropping of the request to be the "Presumptive Nominee").
7. Trump is concerned about Haley because he is easily distracted and because of his fascination with her, he cannot focus on the real fight with Biden.
8. Trump is concerned about Haley because of all of the above.

Trump isn't afriad of Nikki Haley. Why would he? He's won both IA and NH in a landslide. In fact, they'll probably be his worst states. He'll win every future contest with even stronger victories (except DC)

Haley should be afraid of Trump. If he wins, she'll be shunned from all conservative politics like Bob Corker and  Jeff Flake

So why won't Don the Con debate Nikki? He claims he's the top of his game (...I have serious doubts), he should have no problem! Me thinks he's full of sh*&! He knows he's full of it too, and if he's running a mile from Nikki, I believe he's just a paper tiger, he talks a big talk, but can't do the walk. Also the fact, no matter his excuse or narrative he spins, he's scared silly of Nikki Haley! What a pu**y!

He isn't afraid of her so much as he is angry she isn't bending the knee to him when he wants her to. It's about control. She isn't praising him so it gets under his skin. He probably thinks he made her because she served as UN Ambassador despite her being a governor long before he was on the scene.

Trump could have the worst debate of his career. Haley could have one of the greatest performances in political history, Reaganesqe. And Trump would still every state comfortably

Ugh I can't believe I am defending him

There's no indication in head to head polling against Biden, that there's substantial defection in the Republican vote away from Trump.

Exit polls from NH, in which there was a conceited effort by anti Trump dems and independents to vote Haley, are representative of the entire nation ?

Considering there will not be a meaningful caucus on the Democrat side, there was plenty of that going on in Iowa, too.

She served in his administration and dares to challenge him!

Also she's a woman of color. I'm sure that's extra salt in the wound.

Trump isn't afriad of Nikki Haley. Why would he?

Because he's a coward. Because, deep down, he knows that he's a worthless POS whose success is built on lies and rot. Because he's an ignorant, immature shadow of a man who is terrified that something, anything is going to crack the paper-thing facade he's built and his world will collapse around him. Donald Trump, like most Republicans, hates and fears anything he can't control and abuse.
