Tommy Thompson is such a joke. How much longer does he have in this race?

Why does McCain need to grip the sides of his podium whenever he's answering a question?

So far, I'm thinking Hunter has done the poorest tonight.

Agreed. And it's not so much that he was horrible, he's just lackluster. He has a platform that could really get a good part of the party going for him, but doesn't represent it with any enthusiasm.

I've never watched the show.

If I want to watch an action movie drama, I'll watch an action movie drama.

I like Jericho though. Smiley

I've never really watched it either.  There's always something better on TV in the same time slot.

Was Hunter lacking in questions being asked, or am I not remembering some of them because they were not not memorable?

Up through round 4, everyone was asked the same number of questions.  At the very end, it was tough to track.

It did seem like he had less time, but no, he just wasn't memorable either.

End.

What do you think?

-I hope not, but I think Paul is gonna get hammered on that 9/11 comment.
-Fox News' highlights Mitt Romney and John McCain going after each other with their different views, and the aforementioned Giuliani-Paul moment.
-Romney did not seem like the shining example he was in the first debate.
-McCain seemed better and less "gates of hell".
-TV time was more skewed toward front runners I thought.
-Some genuine discourse between candidates of the same party...finally.

Duncan Hunter is the only Republican candidate who seems concerned about unfair trade agreements and losing American jobs overseas.

Thoughts:

1)  This was the first combative debate of the cycle (compared to the two MSNBC debates).
2)  The quality of the questions were much better, with each candidate being asked questions on the same topic as everyone else.
3)  Were there commercials in the MSNBC debates?  I don't remember.
4)  Many of the responses seemed less scripted and more personal.
5)  I liked how the moderators were asking the candidates to name names.

As far as how I thought the candidates performed (not who one):
1 - Brownback
2 - Paul
3 - Romney
4 - Gilmore
5 - Giuliani
6 - Tancredo
7 - Huckabee
8 - McCain
9 - Thompson
10 - Hunter

Ron Paul= Freedom Fighter

He was never going to win anyway but he stood up for the truth tonight in a debate filled with liars and fools.

MSNBC did not have any commercials.

To be fair to MSNBC, Fox News had the advantage of seeing each candidate's answers to questions in a previous debate and could tailor accordingly.

True, but they did ask some really dumb questions, especially with those online questions which the little nerd from the Politico was "screening."  They were well below standard, especially with the numerous topics that could have been covered.

U.S policy in the Middle East led to 9/11.

No one else wants to admit that though; everyone just keeps going "OMG NO THEY ATTACKED US FOR NO REASON N THEY HATE FREEDOM!!!!11!".

So why did Giuliani ask him to apologize?

So why did Giuliani ask him to apologize?

Because he wanted to grandstand. 9/11 is the only thing that is keeping Guiliani near the top of the polls. He has to emphasize it at all costs.

Oh.

So why did Giuliani ask him to apologize?

...because Giuliani is confused about the first amendment as well as why 9/11 happened.
