Although Green is my color here, I am actually still registered as a Dem.

I believe that in the US party registration is about 1/3 1/3 1/3....
D/R/Independent. (with a much smaller "third party" registration)

On the Atlas, I'm Independent.  In real life, I'm Independent/Reformist (depending on if/when they get their act together).

What is the Reform Party view of the Iraq war and what is their overall view on foreign policy?

Well, this time I didn't provide an "all other answers" because I didn't think it would be necessary. If you change your color often, perhaps the best choice is to go with your current color and change your vote every time you change your color.

Somehow I don't see a point to that. My icon on the PM chart is a tan icon for constitution party so I'll go with that.

I understand. One thing I was interested in, when I created this poll, was to see the ratio of Dems vs Repubs vs all others, so if you don't see yourself as loyal to either of the two top parties choosing a 'third party' makes sense.

On Atlas, I'm an Independent. In real life, I'm a Democrat around the time of their primary and an Independent the rest of the time.

I'm a registered Democrat, and I more often than not vote that way... I have supported third parties, and even Republicans before, though.

I'm stubbornly 'red' despite being a UK Conservative. Makes for some confusion I suppose but as im on the left/libertarian wing of the Tories then I don't need to be as hardcore blue Smiley

I'm a Republican in real life, though I tend to split tickets (generally voting for more Republicans than non-republicans)...although I'm sure a couple forummers will dispute my GOP credentials.

I proudly wield the "Other" Orange because the Socialist Party of the United States of America is a bit of a minority party to get its own color. I clarify my position through my sig, which I think makes my party of choice rather clear, or at least narrows it down to two or three. Anyone that reads most of my posts knows where I stand anyway.

you sound quite a bit like many Republicans here on Long Island, split the ticket generally lean more Republican on the local level, more Democratic on the national level, but will vote for those on either side of the equation on either level.   And someone who is not exactly a big fan of what has happened to the Republican Party on the national level, especially concerning the power the religious right has in the party.  Some Republicans both on the forum and the real world detest your type and your group, however if more of you leave the GOP (a bunch already has) the GOP will be done.

As far myself I pretty much typify your liberal New York Democrat to a T

I have worn C and L avatars as short lived jokes, but otherwise I vagrate between light green, dark green and orange. I have never for even one second born a red or blue avatar, and I intend to keep it that way.

Fair assessment. I still don't trust democrats to run suburban local governments...and I suspect many Bucks County people R/D/Is alike are a bit wary of them, given the mess that is Philadelphia. Though I have voted Democrat for State Treasurer (for him only to use it as a stepping stone) and Superior Court (the Eagles Court guy)...but you're generally spot on.

Yellow libertarian most of the time
Indie Green and GOP blue are my other favorites (although I have been every color at one time or another)

Supposedly I'm a LP member, although I despise the Libertarian Party

My political philosophy is minarchist.

The problems the GOP is having on the local level here is quickly catching up to their problems on the national level.  Despite the loss in the Special Election in the State Senate seat, they are still strong there (for now) and do ok on some of the town govt seats.  Other than that they are in real deep here as well.   Nassau County was almost on the brink of financial disaster a few years ago, Dems took over and the financial situation improved quite a bit.  Seems like every year the GOP is losing more and more on the local level where they use to completely dominate everything.  The mass corruption issues, party infighting and some trying to model the local GOP after the national GOP hasn't helped.  republicans as a whole tend to still be more loyal to their party locally than nationally, but Independents have become strongly Democratic on both levels now for the most part (other than some council seats & state senate seats)

Independent here, independent in real life. I haven't felt strongly enough in a candidate to register as something else to vote in a primary, but I've only been of voting age since '04. Registering as a certain party and only voting the party line seems ridiculous to me.
