Wait until we get a county with 75+% in before getting sad or excited folks

If it's the election day vote then it's over for Cameron.

If it's the early vote then Beshear is in trouble.

I'm not sure about either of those things. Idk if there even is that much of a difference between early/ED vote in some of these deep red rural counties.

I'm not sure why people still think early vote is as dramatic a difference as 2020. Resist libs scared of COVID probably don't even exist in those counties anyway, lol.

Dramatic difference, perhaps not. But it certainly makes a difference and I'd like to see at least a few counties finished before we make a declaration either way as to how much or what it portends.

I want more results too but it would have be a pretty staggering difference between early and election day vote for these numbers to be bad news for Beshear.

I read this while a song from the Welsh melodic hardcore band Casey was playing. I'll take this as a positive sign from God.

Much as Alben and I have our disagreements, I trust his insights on Kentucky politics pretty well. I think if he's saying Beshear's doing alright so far, I'm alright with being cautiously optimistic.

Note I'm not ready to say "I've seen enough" or anything. I'm cautiously optimistic myself. This COULD be a blue mirage, COULD have something to do with the early vote. But overall I'd be much more worried if the numbers were different.

Will Cameron make up for apparent lost ground?

Will Andy Beshear win in a squeaker? Or are we in for a good ol' fashioned southern slaying?

Find out on the next exciting edition of Dragonball Z.

Kentucky isn’t part of the south since they were loyal to the union

Generally yes, but it's pretty hard to find any good news for Cameron out of anything so far, including comparing Beshear to the downballot candidates.

Is Beshear losing Nicholas County concerning since he won it in 2019?

Apparently.

Beshear will not do 25 points better than 2019.

So the question is how much Election Day vote there is and by how much is Cameron winning it.

Got back from dinner and Beshear seems to be catching up on Cameron, but Cameron still leads by around 9.

Different counties count differently. Wouldn't be surprised if they counted election day votes first.

Apparently DDHQ had 1% of the vote in and some counties counted now they only have < 1% of the vote in and 2 counties counted. Huh

Well, it will be close. I still think Beshear takes it. We haven't seen anything from Fayette or Jefferson or Kenton or Campbell after all. And I think even with these early results being the most favorable for him in these counties, if he's up by 33 in a county like Floyd he can still hold on to some of those Eastern coal counties from 2019.

Cameron's main (and possibly only) hope is the delta between GOV and AG/SoS narrowing as election day vote comes in, but Beshear is looking good right now.
