I honestly have very few strong beliefs about the whole Israel/Palestine situations.
But the one thing I definitely believe is that this the exact opposite of what we should be doing.

America has always vetted immigrants on the basis of ideology and denied them when it is in OUR interest to do so.

It is not in the interest of Americans living here to allow persons who advocate the eradication of Israel to visit the US, let alone live here.  This is not in the interest of American citizens, and it is certainly not in the interest of American citizens who are Jewish.

We should also void the passports and even denaturalize persons who lied about their views on this subject in order to get into the United States.  We did this with Nazis after WWII.  We did this with Stalinists.  We did this, and rightly so.  Why we should allow people who not only advocate Intifada, and especially Intifada in America, aimed at Jews who are American citizens, to come here, live here, work here, and study here, while advocating the utter demise of another group is utterly beyond me, especially if they have lied on their applications for Visas and for permanent residency or citizenship.

Foreigners whose presence here is not in the interest of American citizens do not have a right to visit here, let alone reside here.  We get to make that decision.  I see absolutely no meaningful sentiment from any Palestinian sector that advocates and defends Israel's right to exist under any set of borders whatsoever.  I'm willing to be shown otherwise, but no one has done so here.

I will also say this:  The suffix "Phobe" implies fear.  Jewish students on college campuses in America, who are citizens of this country, are being targeted by pro-Hamas mobs, while forces that are supposed to protect them remain silent, or even hostile.  They're afraid, they're afraid of Palentinian mobs and mobs of their New Left supporters, and they have good reason to be afraid.  America owes its Jewish citizens safety and security.  America doesn't owe foreigners squat.  We are a nation of immigrants, true, but we are also a nation of CITIZENS.  Citizens have a right to expect that who we allow into America is not predisposed to support groups that deny their right to exist.

The legislation is being offered to force Biden to live by the law.  He refuses to enforce ANY meaningful immigration law.  The incredible tide of illegal immigration happening at our Southern Border is Exhibit A of this.

Americans don't need to prove to the World that they are not bigoted.  Palestinians who wish to come to America, on the other hand, need to show that they unequivocally reject the terror tactics of Hamas and accept the right of Israel to exist if they want to come to America.  Their refusal to do so in WWII added to the Holocaust.  Their refusal to do so was a driving force in their wars of aggression against Israel, including the wars of 1948 and 1956, where Israel was living within its original borders.  If they want to advocate Intifada, they can do it in Palestine.  Their behavior in America, on our college campuses, against our Jewish citizens, suggests that, just perhaps, more honest vetting is needed.  Joe Biden is unwilling to vigorously vet persons coming into our country if he believes that not doing so aligns with the political interests of his supporters.  That Congress would conclude that Biden needs to be forced to apply the law is far from unreasonable in this matter.
