Don't know the details, but generally a good idea.

Dislike because regulations are bad and we should always have less of them, but there's nothing in this that really jumps out as very bad. I'll have to read more analyses of them from people in the industry before coming to a firm opinion, though.

Terrible. Will actively speed up the development of god-like AI, which we need to ban entirely.

Anyone talking about "god-like AI" has no idea how this technology actually works.

Obviously Biden doesn’t want to actively mold AI research to bring about socialism, but it’s not a generally good idea to not want any salad dressing.

He's become addicted to the idea that AI is the modern equivalent of the Tower of Babel. Too many Matrix movies + apocalyptic thinking = brain poisoning.

The irony is that the reason AI is dangerous is for the same reason that social media is bad. More dehumanization, but in this case it's going to make lot of if not all services worse for consumers and the general public.

They'll adjust. 20 years from now, there's probably going to be a lot more spectral sh**t going on like there is much more spectral sh**t now than there was 30 or even 10 years ago. There will also be a lot more opportunity.  There will be more jobs, more ways to meet people, and more experiences. There will be a lot of other people getting laid off, becoming isolated and alienated, and drifting into madness, hopelessness, and uselessness. It's always going to be a double edge sword and it should be acknowledged that way. No one is singly morally to blame, but everyone must do their part to adjust.
