Pursuant to the provisions of SB 117-41, the suggestion period for the naming of a new Capital shall begin. A few notes:

- Location of the new Capital was previously decided. We are merely giving a name to the city we are creating.
- Members can review the provisions of SB 117-41 at https://talkelections.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=565078.0 for inspiration and further details.
- The suggestion period will open immediately and close at a similar time on November 9th.
- The Senate will choose five finalists from the submissions.
- Those five finalists will go to referendum on November 17th.
- Post your names in this thread. While all submissions will be considered, it would be helpful to the Senate to give a statement on why we should consider your name. You may suggest an unlimited number of names, but that doesn't mean spamming the thread is necessarily helpful to your cause.

Go!

As our longest serving President and a transformative one, Adam Griffin deserves the honour of the capital's name. Otherwise Sestak is a good name and most people would agree it'd be fair to recognise him.

I suggest a name inspired by the Atlas Mountains, such as New Fes or New Constantine. The irony in the fact that the new location chosen is flat as a pancake just makes it better.

Honestly, I still kinda like the name Nyman, if it were possible to name old Nyman back to Washington or something else. Or we could name it for the runner up in the first election considering that it was only 1 vote that changed that one. Soulty City sounds alright?

Centralia, to reflect the devilry that happens daily in our seat of government.

Johnabemas, for their first names, if we use Jefferson for the South.

As our longest serving President and a transformative one, Adam Griffin deserves the honour of the capital's name.

We haven't renamed Washington, D.C. to FDR yet.

On a more serious note I like New Nyman, we already have a good name with the current capital and it would fit the historical theme of "New" = going west.

Or maybe Vicennial since it will be 20 years since Atlasia's founding by the time this thing gets built, which seems like a nice thing to commemorate with this.

Spiral, and instead of a lame square/diamond the city should be in the shape of a spiral

Nyman, New Nyman, and Yankee are my top 3 (the order is not a ranking from 1 to 3, btw).
