Also the fact DeSantis can competently govern unlike Truss is a big deal as Truss shows how incompetence can harm a nation.

If that means how, just look at the results of DeSantis and Truss lol. Florida is one of the fastest growing states economically, has gone up in educational rankings under his watch(despite all the threads on here implying the opposite), is ranked as one of the best states to do business while under Truss the economy tanked badly and the UK has not really recovered.
At the end of the day you elect politicans to bring you results and DeSantis's results were were way better than Truss's . Truss by the way is not really more moderate than the GOP at all despite people here thinking so as she in the past few weeks:
- Allied herself with Republicans here like Ted Cruz while still being a current politician in the UK
- She apparently has taken a stance many other GOP politicians in the Race have on Trump: say the GOP needs to be back in the White House but refuse to rule out it being Trump
- She is planning to copy what the hard right is doing in the house here by threatening to bring down the government if they dont move further right. The main difference is the Tories have full control of the government while the GOP is basically in opposition outside a super slim majority in the house
- She literally blamed wokeness for bad economic policies
Like this idea that Liz Truss is more moderate than DeSantis is actually lol worthy given what she is doing in a nation where the center is to the left of what's here.
