Israel's Minister of Communications suggesting to cut off the foreskins of Hamas fighters is incredible content, really. They should also burn all images of Allah in Gaza while they're at it. That will be a proper revenge.

I thought male Muslims were circumcised anyway, so yeah.

There are no images of Allah. An image of God is one of the most haram/salacious in Islam.
false

There is a long history of imagery of Mo in Islamic art, it wasn't until fanatics in the twentieth century wanted another wedge to stick between Islam and the West that it became a thing.  They got what they wanted.

In addition to bombing churches and hospitals, Israel has also murdered journalists reporting for pro-Palestinian TV stations in its airstrikes, frequently in Lebanon:

https://apnews.com/article/lebanon-israel-almayadeen-journalists-killed-farah-omar-a0c4f1bc13582231117c98d54c477b2b

Blatant war crimes that a country will only commit when it knows it will get away with it.

Israel's response is the same as always: "It said the attack was under review."

Only a ghoul would think of this as a partisan/ideological issue.

Online group Stop Antisemitism has been uncovering, using social media posts, the online behaviour of US citizens following the War in Gaza.

They have identified a lot of US citizens tearing down posters of kidnapped Israeli's. These video's are posted online, and then once the people are identified, the pro-Jewish group then contacts their relevant University or workplace, and raises it with the HR department. Then the little red laser dot of HR does its thing.

In this case, an employee has posted support for the Hamas attacks on October 7. Regardless of the poor quality of the media report below, it does raise an issue about people posting things on their social media pages and how it relates to their continued employment.

United Airline Pilot

Ibrahim R. Mossallam

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQ7VurDLNIo

As with many people uncovered by this group, it appears this resulted in termination of his employment.

I know things weren't always as they are now, but was the change really as recent as the 20th C?

Some of the Israeli government needs to be put on trial for war crimes after this. We learned this the hard way after WW2, and need to make sure never again really means never again.

Some people accuse me of hating Israel or Israelis, but I don't. There's a lot of incredibly moral people in Israel who are some of the bravest people alive.

I am confident that after this is all done, there will be a reckoning in Israeli society with regards to the individuals and institutions that led us to this terrible place. It might not happen in a year or even five, but I believe it will happen one day.

America had one of the nastiest explosions imaginable of anti-Muslim bigotry after 9/11, but now we have a new generation that rejects that kind of bigotry more than almost anyone else in the industrialized world. I am not going to write Israel off.

All that Israel is ensuring is the radicalization of more people into becoming terrorists, which will, in time, ensure that terrorist attacks against Israel will continue.

Apparently there were tunnel entrances directly from the Al Shifa hospital after all, but Hamas covered them in concrete prior to Israel taking control of the hospital:

Yes. They have found a much larger tunnel network now.

al-Shifa Hospital Tunnels

The Israeli's and the US intelligence were providing us with the truth. Attention now needs to be placed on the medical staff and the media at the al-Shifa Hospital.

Normally, when you have a War, the civilians flee in the opposite direction.

In this War, Al-Jazeera and NY Times correspondents, doctors and "crisis actors" coerce hundreds of people to stay around the Hospital to help produce their international soap opera for Western Media.

Will be interesting to see how NY Times, BBC, Al Jazeera deal with this story after they ran an opposite story for 2 weeks straight.

American politicians are now asking similar questions about these exact media outlets as being the voice-piece for Hamas.

Rep. Brian Mast - Hamas Lies

The doctors in the Hospital can no longer deny the blatant military and kidnapping activities within the al-Shifa complex of their bosses.

It has nothing to do with "crisis actors." The reason that doctors in the hospital and other such people lied is simple. They and their families live in Gaza. If you live in Gaza and do something that Hamas doesn't like, then Hamas can kill you or your family - or just harm you or your family without killing you.

For that reason, even if they don't actually sympathize with Hamas, they will say absolutely anything that Hamas wants them to say. You would do the same if you lived in Gaza, as would I or anyone else reading this.

There is a possibility we may be headed for further escalation between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

https://vxtwitter.com/Faytuks/status/1727460763923591275

Quote
Hezbollah confirms that Sarraj Ra'ad, the son of the head of Hezbollah's parliamentary bloc, has been killed in an Israeli airstrike

Hezbollah will likely feel a need to respond to this.

Meanwhile Israel has been making demands at the UN that UN resolutions de-fanging Hezbollah in southern Lebanon be implemented:

https://vxtwitter.com/Faytuks/status/1727094252943954069

Quote
Israel has sent a letter to the presidency of the UN security council.

In the letter, Israel warns that if Resolution 1701 is not fully implemented, if the Hezbollah presence continues on the border, and UNIFIL does not use all its capabilities to prevent any military presence…

And Israelis are arguing that a military operation in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah will be justified if that does not happen:

https://vxtwitter.com/Faytuks/status/1727094810706837797

Quote
Big Israeli telegram channel: "If the UN does not remove Hezbollah north of the Litani River, Israel has all the legitimacy to do so on its own and launch a military operation"

Apparently the situation in Lebanon is actually even worse. 2 sons of 2 separate Hezbollah MPs have been killed, not just 1.

https://fxtwitter.com/jobahout/status/1727469132780605577

More details about #Hezbollah’s heavy losses tonight in #Israel’s targeted airstrike on Beit-Yahun (#South_Lebanon):
(PS: two are sons of the party’s MPs, Raad and Cherri)

So Hezbollah is surely going to hit back somehow in response to this. Then, particularly if a ceasefire does take hold in Gaza, Israel will have a large mobilized army ready to go, with nothing else to do.

Netanyahu and the Israeli war cabinet may decide that now is their moment of opportunity to deal with Hezbollah. And if this is what they are thinking, that may have been part of the reason why they were willing to accept a ceasefire in Gaza.

You have raised some excellent points today, and I follow along with all of it.

Lebanon is broke.

They cannot afford to lose billions of dollars of infrastructure being destroyed by an Israeli targeted missile campaign.

It may in fact be a US targeted missile campaign as Bidey Bide's has already warned them in no uncertain terms.

Lebanon simply cannot afford it.

My understanding is that the Israel (and potentially the US) has missiles pointed at Lebanese infrastructure including key roads, water, electricity, communications and other engineering facilities. With one to two days of missile strikes, Lebanon would be billions of dollars in the red without the money to fix it.

PBS News Hour

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ly2aADM1dnQ

National Security Advisor Admiral John Kirby talks to PBC News Hour about the grits of the hostage deal.

It was not clear which 50 hostages will be released. Someone also noted that some of the children are not being held by Hamas, so the negotiations with Palestinian Islamic Jihad and private terrorists with no brand are very complicated.

Not everyone is happy in Israel about the hostage swap.

Meir Schijveschuurder (PBS News Hour)

Some Israeli's, including Meir Schijveschuurder, are concerned that 150 Palestinian terrorists will be released straight back onto the streets of Jerusalem in exchange for innocent Israeli's.

Schijveschuurder is a fringe right figure. Part for Otzma there's no party opposing the deal.

I think the deal has problems in the military fine details, but there's absolutely no strong voice against releasing children held there.
