"Transgenderism" then is not analogous to the Gay rights movement of the 2000s. It is closer to the Christian Right or the anti-Video game, anti-Drug left of the 1990s. They represent the reason your favorite TV shows, whether old(the Simpsons) or new are all awful. They represent why movies are poorly written. Why RPGS have party members who exist to give you long monologues about trauma that can only be solved by you screwing them. It is identified with the culture war.

I completely agree with OP. The LGBT brand has really declined post-Obergefell, when it reached its zenith and increased acceptance seemed inevitable. And frankly, the reason for this decline has little to nothing to do with the LGB.

It's the equivalent of saying the Republican position on race is "all blacks should be re-enslaved." A gross exaggeration that is only supported by a few random social media accounts that aren't definitively linked to a real person and most of which are probably fake.

Apparently one time someone told Alben on social media that he was a bad person for not "sucking the girl dick" and it kinda broke his brain. Not completely, but on this issue it did. That person was very likely a Republican just trolling, and a small probability that it was sincere but still a total nut, but somehow he got it in his head that this was a mainstream Democratic position that he had to fight against.
