Should there be a law requiring smartphones to include headphone jacks?

There needs to be more universal and replaceable parts enforced on tech in general, especially applied to Apple products.

I remember there used to be a U.S. law on this that would apply to all industry, part of anti-trust/monopolization laws. I don't think it was ever repealed, but just hasn't seemed to have been applied when it comes to tech. Anyone remember the law I'm talking about?

when someone says "there aught to be a law about blah blah blah", they are wrong 95% of the time.  If the product you want to buy doesn't come with the features you want and other products do, you're a funking moron if you buy the product that doesn't have the features you want.  Double so if you pay more for the privilege.  Triply so if you avoid the other product with the features you want because that's what you're "used to".

Especially since their products are intentionally dumbed down for Boomers. I once read someone here claiming iPhones are better than Android because they're "easier to use"...which is the equivalent of saying that Dora the Explorer is a better TV show than The Wire because it's easier to follow.
