Why is everyone so sure Robinson will win the primary? Guy seems like a loose cannon.

That’s exactly why he’s probably going to win the primary. See Mastriano, Lake, Dixon, Cox, and so on

Republican primary voters are firmly marching hard right at nearly every opportunity.

To a point. Loomer was rejected and so was Kathy Barnette. Sure they both lacked Trump endorsements but who is to say Trump will be all in on Robinson? Robinson is a die hard social conservative who goes way beyond normal GOP rhetoric on LGBT issues and I'm not sure Trump would give him the time of day if his primary opponent were say, Dan Bishop or Greg Murphy.

Anyone comparing him to Mastriano is a joke.
His recent ad is one of the best political ads this century. No talk of Trump or even any culture war issues. Just his inspirational background, a positive message and talk about how NC needs fixing. Interestingly criticism of NAFTA and he mentioned how he wants to get jobs back, so a populist message.
He's definitely one of the best public speakers out of politicians today, even if you disagree with him you have to acknowledge his ability to talk to people is unmatched.

Will he do better or worse than Herschel with Black voters? Herschel got maybe 5% in the runoff.

Did AIPAC campaign against the genuinely anti Semitic Mark Robinson?

Of course not, he's pro Israel.

Of course not, he's pro Israel.

He's also genuinely anti Semitic.

AIPAC could care less. Herzl himself talked often about the need to form alliances with Western antisemites, as many Zionists and many antisemites both want all Jews to go to Israel and prioritize their ethnicity over their ideology. AIPAC is carrying on that legacy, Jews who do not put Israel first are viewed as traitors, non Jews who support Israel are viewed as allies, no matter how much disdain they might have for American Jews who are not ethnonationalists, and no matter how bloodthirsty their reasons for really supporting Israel.
