If my candidate's dual candidacy is against the rules, I will promptly delete post.

I assume that we're still free to detail the whole turn even after the posting of the midterm, as long as we've done it by the 23rd, right? Also, will the upcoming debate be its own separate turn or consolidated into the next one? I'll be out on vacation for a week starting on the 21st, and my connection may be limited then.

Yes you can post your whole turn after the midterm as long as it’s before the 23rd. The debate will come with the next turn. Around Boxing Day I think.

Very sorry for the late notice - was going to post this last week but forgot to - but it is possible I will not be able to get Noem's stuff in by the 2erd. I have semester finals this coming week, and won't be free till Thursday evening PT. I thus may need an extension of a few days. Now, Thursday is the 22nd and your deadline is the 23rd, so I might be able to get it all done after school on Friday. However, I might need an extension, and it's possible my stuff comes in on the 23rd, or the 24th. I promise you my stuff will be up before 12:00 AM PT on Christmas. I'd appreciate it if that's acceptable to you. If not, I will definitely try and get it up on Thursday (or even earlier) itself - but if it's not acceptable to delay the turn a day or two, and I can't get it done, then I guess Noem might just bow out before the game has even really kicked off.

Got the first ten days for Noem up. My worry is I may be unleashing too much stuff all at once, and I should pace myself and not get rid of too much ammunition too quickly. What do you all think? Could I give Noem's attacks/messages at a slower pace? Should I? I mean, it's only been 10 days, and though there's doubtless plenty of other things to say at this juncture (hell, I've not even attacked all my opponents - only Pence and Hogan, so far, and those two are among the least of Noem's worries), my fear is I'll run out and have to keep recycling all the same stuff soon enough if I don't slow down.

With the length of this primary, plus the rate at which you're going, you'll be fully worn out doing the day-to-day schedules before the first turn is even over. I'd strongly advise to follow the model that KaiserDave suggested for us: Think about the big picture points you want to touch on for each turn and put your attention towards that. Which voters do you wish to target? How will you promote yourself? Time is a lot more fluid in this game, and posting in a linear fashion isn't even necessary so much as just describing what activities and talking points you want the candidate to achieve before the turn is up.

Your first post in the thread is a great start. I'd rework it to take out the dates and instead focus on what you want to do and say overall between February and May.

Attention All

Everything is going swell.

I am undecided about when to make the first debate, should I do it between this turn and the second turn? Should I do it at the start of the second turn? What do you all think?

I would say between turns. It would shake up the game a bit and also allow us to already see its impact in the turn opening

IMO you should do it in the second turn.

I might've missed it - how do you garner endorsements in the game? Does KaiserDave just unilaterally choose who endorses who at each mid-turn and turn? Do you PM him with who all you want the endorsement of and he picks and chooses from there? Do you need to "court" endorsements in the game and get them from there?

In any case, just saw the mid turn polling and NGL it has me pretty pessimistic. Of course I didn't expect Noem to be doing well going in, and I read Dave's warning to take early polls with a grain of salt, but still - this confirms it's going to be a very uphill battle for Noem.

Stone vs. Pence

While making his announcement speech in Ames, IA, former Vice President Mike Pence was interrupted and heckled by fellow Republican candidate Roger Stone. Stone, with a full-on camera crew documenting every angle at his side, laid out the seeming dishonesty and hypocrisy coming from Pence's rhetoric regarding Donald Trump. The full remarks from Stone's ambush follows:

"You're a damn dirty liar, Mike Pence! First you spend four years sucking up to President Trump, begging for his endorsement in 2024, and now what? Now you call him a failure? Now you call him the biggest mistake of your life?

You've just given a big middle finger to the tens of millions of Americans who voted for you and Donald Trump to make this country great again! Ladies and gentlemen, he couldn't defend us on January 6th, and now the man won't even defend his own administration! What the hell sort of record can he even claim to run on?

Why don't you just drop out now and save us the trouble, man?"

As security arrived to escort Stone and the crew out of the stadium, Stone added: "Here comes the Washington establishment's finest to silence any opposing viewpoints. This is why I'm running, folks! RogerStone.com! Jail Biden, Free Trump!"

Just as the Vice President was ready to resume his remarks, one last cry from Stone was heard: "Asshole!"

The ambush in Ames, along with the full course of events leading up to it, was meticulously documented and crafted into a slick, glossy campaign video and mini-documentary titled "Stone vs. Pence." Upon its release the day after, it quickly became a viral sensation—the first of its kind this campaign season.

Is this sort of inter-candidate interaction, made by own player, allowed? Reminds me of what PinkPanther did in the other 2024 game, and that just made things more chaotic. Not saying I wouldn't expect this from Stone if he was running against Pence IRL, but still.

Player playing as Pence speaking: As long as it doesn't get too ridiculous, I'd be fine with it (though if I were to drop out, I suppose I could coordinate with the Kari Lake player to have her kill Pence...)

Just idle musing. I'm not leaving the race any time soon, but Pence is more vulnerable to being killed than any other candidate (except Harris, and she gets Secret Service protection).
