I will make updates and pronouncements here.

1. I hereby appoint Utah Neoliberal as Deputy PPT.

2. I will work on the noticeboard and the empty slots tomorrow. I have the next 2 days off so I should have time.

3. Expect to get PMs from me reminding yall of votes. I dont think Ive ever received a single PM from the last PPT announcing votes. This will change and every Senator will be informed of open votes regardless of party affiliation. The President just had to veto a bill because almost no one showed up to vote. Im curious how many senators were even informed of the vote. Better communication leads to better participation.

4. We should be able to get through the backlog this session. There are around 50 bills in the queue but we have around 25 slots so it honestly shouldnt be too bad.

FINAL REPORT OF THE 112TH SENATE

This session was the most productive in game history.

57 pieces or legislation passed, 56 laws and 1 Rules change, surpassing the 54 laws passed in the 13th session of 2018. 1 law was redrafted by the President. And the annual budget was passed with a surplus.

7 pieces of legislation were rejected.

60 bill amendments were considered, of which 24 were to the budget.

The 112th Notice Board is up to date.

Several dozen bills have been pre-filed for next session. No bills remain for this session.

Thanks to all the Senators, to the President, and to citizen sponsors for participating. Thank you also for putting your confidence in me to clear the backlog in a single session. We managed to squeak by in time. See you next session.

Having no further business, I hereby adjourn the 112th Senate.

1/11 Update

1. The Noticeboard is up to date and stickied.

2. 21 new bills have been listed for debate

3. Amendment vote is underway on the racist school curriculmn bill. Another amendment vote is likely before the end of the night related to rape porn.

4. The President has submitted a redraft to the wasteful military spending cuts bill. We will consider and vote on that in a few days when we have our first final votes on new bills.

5. Lots of debate so far, good to see.

As PPT, I hereby issue the following directive:

Effective immediately, there shall be no formal dress code requirement for Senators or citizens while present in the Senate chamber, other than the expectation that all clothing be business casual. Business casual shall not be interpreted as forbidding bare arms or women from wearing pants.

It is so ordered,

FINAL REPORT OF THE 113TH SENATE

For the second session in a row, this session was the most productive in game history.

60 pieces or legislation passed, 54 laws, 3 Amendments, 2 Treaties, and 1 Rules change, surpassing the 57 laws passed in the 112th session. 2 laws were redrafted by the President.

9 pieces of legislation were rejected or vetoed.

Over 80 bills have been pre-filed for next session. 3 bills remain on the floor for next session. (Sorry, I tried)

Thanks to all the Senators, to the President, and to citizen sponsors for participating. Thank you also for putting your confidence in me to again clear the backlog. We almost managed to squeak by in time. See you next session.

Having no further business, I am taking a Leave of Absence effective immediately for at least a day and maybe a bit longer. I have surgery scheduled in less than 2 hours and will be unavailable during such time.

Good luck with your surgery, Mr. PPT! If I didn't know what it was for I would have said your back must have been in need of it from carrying the session.

3/9

I have most of the Notice Board up and the first round of bills. I will update the queue and offer some debate later today when Im done with physical therapy.

I hereby appoint both Laki and Utah Neolib to serve as Deputy PPTs to assist in floor management. That should give us good coverage as Laki is a few hours ahead of me and UNL is a few hours behind.

Since the Cyberdyne Act passed last session I hereby rescind the 2/15 Directive as duplicative.
