My heart will be leaping in so much joy when I see all the Demonrats signing up for Psychotherapy after tonight. Reality and realization you need to humble up will be less than 24 hours away!!!!
It will be even better when the Democratic party ceases to exist as a national entity. Lets hope 2022 is the start of a new American age!

Can you stop celebrating the 'end of democracy' for five seconds please?

All that means is that you’re trying to make everyone feel guilty for not voting straight Democrat 100% of the time which is actually “anti-democracy” which is so ironic..honestly 😂

i'm almost positive the Indiana US Senate election will not be competitive... But i was a little surprises to see that the only 2 polls on RCP both had it as a 3 pt race. (Todd Young running against an apparently popular long time mayor- who seemed to be running a pretty effect small budget campaign- based on the couple of ads i saw).

Sorry.  I know how worked up everybody gets over the "milk before cereal" vs. "milk after cereal" vs. "dry cereal" debate.

I'm excited to analyze the final results, regardless of the outcome. Predictions and campaign details don't resonate with me as much as looking at concrete data and maps.

Some snippets of turnout this AM via Twitter(can source for those asking):

AZ:
- Maricopa with 40k ballots, Republicans are 58% of them, indies 28%, Dems 14%.

FL:
- Little under 800k voted so far, 56-23% Republicans. Data from 66/67 counties.

PA:
- Philly turnout is quite high, over half of 2018s total so far.

While we obviously never ever take pleasure in illness, there are sometimes patients who walk into the hospital with conditions that are "you only read about it in textbooks" rare.  And it's always interesting about being able to see these afflictions in the wild.

In that same way, we will not be happy with every result tonight.  But I'd be willing to bet that as election junkies, a Democrat winning Oklahoma's governorship or a Republican taking over the governor's mansion in Oregon draws a similar level of intrigue.  Ditto for a D+15 district flipping to the GOP, even if just for two short years.  The surprises in store are what make our nerdy little obsession so much fun.

Miami Rs are barely doing better in election day than early vote which they already won.

When it starts coming in, I would advise everyone to just ignore Florida like a badly-pushed wrestler. Remember, Florida is the Bad Place they talk about in the meme.

The (potential) hurricane isn't going to hit the coast for a couple days, so it's not going to affect the election anyway.

Are you going to kindly  off this thread when the later dumps aren't as R-friendly?

Is a winning Laxalt formula basically to break even on registration in Clark today and gain in the rest of the state?

Are there any reports of neckbeard sightings?

Maybe, although Laxalt should ideally be winning the in person vote even in Clark.

No one at my polling place when I went to vote around 10am this morning.

Not really surprising...our only election is an ultra-safe R House seat; I literally filled one bubble for a sacrificial lamb Dem.  At least my vote counts for the House NPV!
