After the string of special election defeats it seems republicans ground is slipping. I could see republicans getting less then 225 seats which could leave an opening for the likes of Boebert, Greene, Gaetz, and some of the other super trumpy members blocking McCarthy from being speaker and voting for trump instead.

It’s an outside bet, but at this point I can see it happening

Depends on the size of their majority. Anything less than 225 would make me less sure about that.
