How can you expect anyone on this forum of all places to vote on this without taking politics into account

Even without taking politics into account, Colorado wins. Having actual cities alone puts it over Wyoming. In terms of natural beauty it's pretty much a draw but Wyoming has no answer to Denver or even cities like Boulder and Colorado Springs. The latter of which is a pretty conservative city, and I'd still rather live there than Wyoming.

Especially as this was posted in the Individual Politics board where the express purpose is sharing opinions from one's political perspective.

Both states have very ugly parts with no redeeming features. But Fort Collins is one of the few great cities in the West, so Colorado wins.

The tagline for this subsection: Discussions about Personal Experience/Views and Politics

Also, there are plenty of non-political topics in this subsection.

Colorado might be one of the nicest states in the US. It simply has it all.

Wyoming is nice, but it needs to have a city, and to live in the middle of nowhere isn't what I would be in the mood for, for travelling i think it's a nice state that gives a better look into the heartland of the USA (altho it might even be not populated enough for that).

Colorado.  Both are beautiful, but I have lots of fond memories of Denver.

Colorado has stuff to see everywhere.

What's Wyoming w/out Yellowstone?

As someone who enjoy natural beauty and has been to many natural attractions, including the Alps, Patagonia, Tibet, Canadian Rockies, I strongly prefer the Grand Teton and Yellowstone, over the Colorado Rockies. IMHO Colorado Rockies are pretty average in terms of natural beauty.

The northwest quadrant of Wyoming easily beats anything in Colorado.

This; I was going to say I'd vote for the state with people in it.
