For all if his obvious flaws, he seems overall well intentioned and usually does the right thing. I vote FF.

Proof that Freedom Fighter and Horrible Person are sometimes one and the same if taken literally. Very entertaining character, love the show.

Are we talking about the cartoon character or the MSNBC-then-CNN-then-Fox-then-RT guy best known for insulting Jon Stewart in an anti-Semitic rant on Pete Dominick's Sirius XM show, i.e. the other cartoon character?

Might score some points with OP here: the show is stuck in that early 2010s libertarian New Atheist tech bro era and no one seems to acknowledge how bad it's gotten. Their fictional president is still an Obama expy. Rick was at first supposed to be a postmodern deconstruction of Back to the Future's Doc Brown, showing us how sketchy that character's whole premise actually was, and that was funny. But around the start of season 3, he got whittled down to a Mary Sue libertarian-New Atheist-tech bro cheerleader who we're supposed to stan unquestioningly. Which, I'm sorry, he's a neglectful father, an abusive grandpa, and kind of a genocidal tyrant whose only retorts are obscure pop culture jokes and belching out more of that gross spittle onto his chin. Dude thinks he can defeat anyone and anything with sarcasm, which isn't funny, it's Washed-up Paulbot: The Animated Series. It's not 2012 anymore. I'm there for the other characters which, at risk of revealing my power level, are the only ones I really do AU stuff for.
