I would like to apologize in advance if there so happens to be a mega thread on this particular topic on here or some other sub-forum, because I haven't seen or noticed it yet.

Kyrsten Sinema is so toast. No way she doesn't lose her primary.

The United States is the only country where the party who literally launched a terrorist attack on the Capitol building can win while losing. Don't ever wonder why this country is so far behind the curve, because it's obvious.

The response has to be for Democrats in blue states to heavily restrict voting in Republican areas. What is good for one side surely is good for the other and with all the fraud that has come out of the Republican areas I think it's completely fair to start monitoring said areas closer.

A minor note, but looking at this picture, I noticed that Senate Democrats are masked and Senate Republicans are maskless. It's yet another visual reminder of how far apart the two major political parties now are.

I am personally in favor of lowering the filibuster bar to about 55. I think both parties are hypocrites in filibuster, and D don't have a higher moral ground.

PRAISE THE LORD!

[while I support some more modest changes, the core of a higher threshold for ending debate must remain. Tonight's proposal failed on that front.]

Sinema is the problem, she doesn't want to comprise, Manchin is only voting with Sinema because she is the tie breaker except for DC Statehood, he was open to rules change until that speech by Sinema said she she won't compromise on the Filibuster

It we hold onto the H and get 52/48 we override Sinema and Manchin which is tough to do without Voting Rights but we need obviously Biden needs to be 50% or better 10 mnths but he isn't at Morning Consult poll 41(51 at 3% unemployment it's Tainted IPSOS HAS HIM AT 47/51

MORNING CONSULT IS THE SAME AS QU how do you get 41/51 with 3% unemployment and Obama was at 38% at 10% unemployment, in 2010, but TAINTED POLLS

IF IPSOS HAS HIM AT 41/51 NOT 47/51 I will believe it, IPSOS IS THE ONLY POLL I trust

We don't want a moral high ground. We just want Americans to get what they vote for, whether that's us or not.

I want the D's to win very badly but let's all put this in perspective, alot of us are still struggling Financially, due to prolonged Pandemic, BBB child credits and extended Stimulus checks aren't part of this Voting Rights push or Student Loans being eradicated

This Voting Rights push is to get more rich politicians getting reelected

I was thinking about this the whole time that Voting Rights was being debated and Biden as Veep defended the Filibuster in 20o9 and we didn't get DC Statehood when we had 59/51 seats, Obama and Biden knew they screwed up before Tea party Revolt of 2010 but they didn't expect to lose 60 it was projected 25 seats

Why did they open up sports, with the Pandemic and athletes still getting Covid, they're traveling to China for endorsement, eventhough it's Entertainment, because people like Jerry Jones donate to politicians like Trump and Bernie Sanders one of the richest politicians in the World, Bernie is very cozy with Minor League Baseball teams, meaning donations from MLB

Good to have it on the record at least and to see that at least the other 48 are willing to blow it up. So we only need to gain 2 seats. Although that will be a pretty steep climb for this election, but maybe 2024.

It may actually be easier this year than in 2024, sadly.

This is only if Biden Approvals never go up, it will go up between now and Election day and Biden polls are certainly gonna be up 50/48 on. Election night 2024, if it's an R House and 52/48 we can win the Trifecta back with Biden improved polls

But, that's not included in 22 and Biden getting back above 50 which I intend on him being at it's 300 days till 22 and 1000 days till 24 and turnout is higher than Midterms

We lost wave insurance seats before the Election, unemployment was improving to 7.5 percent that's whyTrump almost won and Hunter Biden scandal spoiled things for Ds in the H and Senate

Polls don't matter until Aug, if IPSOS HAS BIDEN AT 41/51 IN AUG WE WILL LOSE BOTH CHAMBERS, BUT GE IS AT 47/61 AND Hassan and Whitmer are leading

THE POLLS ARE TAINTED SHOWING BIDEN BELOW 45

Hold on. You needed a vote to approve a rule change to vote ?

Is the Senate that convoluted ?

If you know the bill is dead, then you can strategically vote 'yes'. Bump that magic number north of 55 to be more accurate.

I believe in this crazy idea that if a political party holds a majority in the legislative body that they should be able to pass legislation with that majority.

First time? Check when I started here lol. Anyone who voted to change the rule will have to justify their new change of their heart if they later want to vote not to change the rule. They know that.

Yes. The vote was to overrule the chair's ruling that Schumer's proposal was not allowed by the rules.

The Senate should just be eliminated entirely.  It has produced absolutely nothing for this country in all its years its been in existence.  Its full of bloviating fools, nauseating hypocrites, and the worst politicians in America.  End it.

Agreed - for their party, but they have served their Republican masters quite well - and neither will be rewarded.

Smiley

That's what I meant.  "Useful idiot' is a reference to what the Soviet leaders thought of the American liberal appeasers.  I think 'useless idiot' is more appropriate because Manchin and Sinema aren't even well meaning.

I have to say this: abcdefu to Manchin and Sinema. They sold our party and country out.
