I don't know. Every time I go to a restaurant with the missus,  I always get the wait staff to ask her first for everything to be polite.

We then get asked "Sparkling or Tap?" and she always answers "Tap".

Honestly try some of the bottled stuff next time you're at the supermarket. When I went to Germany there was so much of it that I ended up getting some to try it, and it's really quite good.

I'm more to the persuasion of St. Pellegrin myself personally.

Disgusting, if I wanted water then I'd just drink water. Yet another reason why Europeans have worse taste than Americans.

FW, I usually drink only sparkling water. Only exception is on vacation in Greece, when at certain tenperatures normal water is preferrable since you need to drink more than usual.

Awful, but a good sugar free alternative to soda when I need a shot of something carbonated whenever I have a sore throat.

Wonderful stuff.  I would recommend everyone installs a sparkling water tap in their house.

Disgusting. HW.

I drink "flat" water (not sure how exactly you'd translate that in English but it's your normal/non-sparkling water), which is FW.

If I had to choose between drinking sparkling water or toilet water for the rest of my life, I'd have to seriously think about it.

How is horrible water winning here? It's healthy, it can often have great flavors added to it, and carbonation makes most drinks better. What's to dislike? Like 75% of the time, this is what I choose to drink.

Grapefruit “essenced” sparkling water is the only thing that isn’t beer but hits the same spot as beer. It doesn’t make any sense but it’s true.

Yeah, sparkling water's the norm in German-speaking Europe. You need to specifically ask for normal/flat water if you don't want sparkling water.

I'll never forget when my dad bought sparkling water for our dogs by accident in Luzern (Switzerland) because he didn't know this rule, and we had to go back to get normal water.

I've personally never understood it though, I've never liked it. It's probably cultural (for the record, French-speaking Europe is like English-speaking countries on this, the norm in France is normal and not sparkling water).

Boogee and elitist crappola.  I do like a little sparkling apple cinnamon cider maybe a splash of pumpkin in there.

Walmart's ones are good tho.  They're better than those rough colas that can eat and devour the copper on pennies.

I swear water should never ever be a commodity with a price- Water should be clean, pure, delicious, and ing free for everyone in the world... Sometimes I see water bottles that are literally $15 in parts of Boston.  Seriously?  It's probably toilet water with an expensive French-sounding name and a fancy-looking bottle lol.

I'd prefer though the very egalitarian Italian cream soda... which is wonderful and comes in many flavors.  I had a delicious one the other day - Pumpkin Pie soda.
