The supposed “Left” stances of Teachers Unions compared to any other Union really only occurred at the beginning of this current Millennium with assaults on funding and resource allocation to marginalized districts, massive eating up of the budget to administrators, and an assault by the right on teachers themselves painted by people who have never cared for the children as more than lucrative units.

The strikes in 2017-2018 and the fight for better resource allocation should tell you all that they seem to be the only ones who care for the children.

Fewer left leaning candidate seek police union endorsements than right-wing candidates seek teachers union endorsements. At the local level right-wingers try to play both sides and when it fails they attack teachers unions for not giving endorsements.

See you have bough into the lie that critical race theory means teaching the bad sides of American history. Which has already been done for decades. Nobody is not taught about slavery and Indian removal. Critical race theory pushes the idea that everything even today is some kind of struggle for power among races with whites oppressing everyone else. It has nothing to do with “teaching the truth”. I'd love to support teachers unions but their consistent opposition to in person schooling in the face of all reason, logic and science has really soured my opinion, to put it mildly.

I watch both of those shows with my toddler and baby.  They teach basic preschool things like colors, shapes, letters, numbers and counting, etc.  And of course the existence of other groups of people my kids have never seen before, in order to promote familiarity and respect.  If that is "brainwashing", then I’ll be sure to show them an extra episode of each.
