Close your eyes. Then put your hand over your closed eyes. Notice any difference?

That seems like an unlikely solution, considering that humans tend to be unconscious during sleep.

Actually, when my room is dark, not much.

Maybe I'm weird because I sleep with the TV and my lava lamp on.

If I had a girlfriend who I lived with, I would probably wear a mask to protect her from COVID when we sleep together.

Indeed, I never go to sleep without my trusty leather mask to give me the peace of mind I need

no

When I first started working mids regularly I tried one at first, but it didn't help.  Once I figured out it's best to only sleep when tired, things like the light level in the room ceased to be a problem.  I can even sleep in a room full of fluorescent lighting.

The blinds in my building are mediocre, and I’m a light sleeper, so yeah.

I also need those ear plugs to drown out the piping.

Very glad I’ll be relocating in the autumn.

When I worked night shift, owing to owning no sleep mask, I used to twirl around a "shemagh" into a thick band and tie it around my head to obscure my vision.

I tried one when I worked third shift and needed to sleep during sunny summer mornings. Very annoying how I could feel it touching my face.

Can barely sleep without one. Its not just the darkness that helps, but I also feel comfortable with a slight pressure on my eyes.
