A federal judge ordered this video released over prosecutors objections as they felt it was a national security risk.

And?
What's your point?
Also, I have seen that video plenty of times in the past. Nothing new.

The point is not everyone there was there for a coup attempt.

Doesn't matter. Once it transformed from protest to use of force with the aim of keeping Trump in power every single one of them became guilty of treason.

Don't see how that video proves your "point," but whatever.
Also, I can tell you that you are not posting the full video of what transpired, at that door. But I know that is how you, and other pathetic trump supporters, are. They don't want "their kind" to see the truth, so they cut and paste videos to their advantage. If you watch the entire video, trump supporting idiots first completely smashed through one of the adjacent windows to that door (which you can see in the full video), and then that small group unlawfully opened the doors to let the rest of the morons inside.

I hope most of the judges are giving all of these morons a similar verbal bashing (in addition to jail time).

(Former) Olympic gold medalist pleads guilty in Capitol riot and will help prosecutors in future cases.

Olympic gold medalist Klete Keller pleaded guilty Wednesday to a felony charge of obstructing the Electoral College proceedings on January 6 -- and in a surprise move, plans to cooperate with the Justice Department and potentially testify against other alleged rioters.

The deal with Keller suggests prosecutors might try to use him as a star witness at upcoming trials, banking on his notoriety as a decorated athlete who won gold medals in swimming at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2004 Athens Olympics.

Maybe the title changed but former is not in the title. His medals have not been stripped.

Imagine being so much of a cuck that you can't accept that your cult leader lost an election and you try to overthrow the entire US government instead. Don't these people have jobs to go to, wives to hug and kiss, and children to raise? Do they really want to throw everything away for some megalomaniacal narcissist who couldn't give a single stinky wet shart about them?

I think we all agree that the Russiahoax that Clinton's campaign launched was bad, but what does that have to do with this topic?

I replied to a troll post in a troll thread with a troll reply of my own. Relax.

That said, I opposed the Russia thing from day one. I am not unbiased (have donated to Wikileaks for over a decade), but I don't believe that the Russian government hacked the DNC.

Woman charged with stealing a laptop from Pelosi's office during US Capitol riot.

Nine months after the US Capitol riot, a Pennsylvania woman has been formally charged with stealing and then selling or disposing of a laptop from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office.

An indictment unsealed on Thursday against Riley Williams accuses the 22-year-old of stealing a laptop from Pelosi's office and then ultimately getting rid of it. Prosecutors also charged her with resisting police. She has not yet entered a plea.

Riley Williams feels similar to Reality Winner. Someone deluded into believing there were conspiracies where there weren't. While I am sympathetic to whistleblowers, I am not sympathetic to useful idiots being led astray by delusions.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House said Friday that President Joe Biden will not block the handover of documents sought by a House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, setting up a showdown with former President Donald Trump, who wants to shield those White House records from investigators.

The letter from White House counsel Dana Remus to the Archivist of the United States comes at the start of a potentially lengthy legal battle over the investigation. Trump, who told his supporters to “fight like hell” the morning of the insurrection and has defended the rioters who beat police and broke into the Capitol, is trying to block Congress from learning more. Biden has so far sided with House Democrats, who have asked for thousands of pages of documents and subpoenaed witnesses connected to Trump.

The House committee investigating the insurrection, which formed over the summer, now has the momentous task of sorting through the details and obtaining documents and testimony from witnesses who may or may not be cooperative. And the jockeying between the two administrations, Congress and the witnesses is certain to delay the investigation and set the stage for messy litigation that could stretch well into 2022.

The White House has informed the National Archives that it is not asserting executive privilege on an initial batch of documents related to the January 6 violence at the US Capitol, paving the way for the Archives to share documents with the House committee investigating the attempted insurrection.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters Friday afternoon that President Joe Biden declined to assert privilege over documents pertaining to former President Donald Trump's administration sought by the January 6 select committee. During the White House press briefing, Psaki said that "the President has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not warranted for the first set of documents from the Trump White House that have been provided to us by the National Archives."

"As we've said previously, this will be an ongoing process and this is just the first set of documents," she said. "And we will evaluate questions of privilege on a case-by-case basis, but the President has also been clear that he believes it to be of the utmost importance for both Congress and the American people to have a complete understanding of the events of that day to prevent them from happening again."

They've threatened a criminal referral for Bannon if he doesn't comply (currently asserting he can't because of Executive Privilege). If that happens, it wont be meaningless.

We need some old fashion whiggery here when it comes to the executive branch.

The penalty for defying congressional Subpoenas should be to have your balls fried in the Capitol rotunda. The executive branch was never intended to have this kind of power and needs to be reigned in.

The privilege claim by Bannon is particularly ludicrous because he has not been a government employee since 2017.

Rwers love to say that all liberals do is call them racist but quite frankly I don’t know how one could objectively look at how Trump and certain rw posters here have reacted to what happened Ashlii Babbitt verses their reaction to the numerous cases involving unarmed black people killed by cops (for doing a hell of a lot less than Ashlii Babbitt did) and not come way with the impression that these people are in fact racist?
