I really can't remember when was the last time I saw similar way of the failure and incompetence of leadership.

And I think Pelosi has to resign after this. I admire her very much, but this is the only right choice to be made

I genuinely can't believe Pelosi has f**ked this up so badly. This is late-period Theresa May levels of ineptitude handling a narrow majority. Her reputation as a parliamentarian has, or should have, completely collapsed in less than nine hours.

Hasn't she always been like that? All her fame came from being able "to get under Trump's skin", whatever it means (perhaps not getting anything from most left-wing (R) president). Dems with TDS loved it. Enjoy.

No, this is the first time she's attempted to bring a major Democratic legislative priority to the floor without even doing a whip count first. It might be the first time any Speaker of the President's party has done that since the modern whipping process has existed.

People forget this now, but during the 111th Congress Obama's entire agenda passed Pelosi's House; it's just that everything major other than the ACA and Dodd-Frank got McConnelled.

They're not going to "die." The house could pass BIF the day before the election if they want. They have over a year to pass it.

A Democratic Senator could also die of a heartattack tomorrow and then the Senate is ran by Republicans.

27 Democrats have not voted on the point of order.

At this point I'm so desperate to see anything pass, but I want to stick to the Problem Causers Caucus.

I'm talking about BIF. That no longer requires anything of the Senate.

I always felt this was the way out for Pelosi, threatening the Dem Progressives that she will make a deal with the GOP if they do not fall in line.  This should be done privately of course since there is no point in humiliating them in public.

Not hard at all unless your name is Gottheimer, Golden, Schrader, Murphy, Spanberger, Bourdeaux, or Case.

So, Bush is an obvious one. Who are the others? Pressley? Jones?

That's why they all must be primaried. And I as a "moderate hero" of Atlas don't care that they are Blue Dogs and some of them represent swing districts. You simply just can't obstruct your party President's agenda. And if you do it, you must be held accountable

IIRC, Bourdeaux switched to YES on BBB earlier today. Agree on the rest of 'em though.

I would guess the four are Bush, Omar, Pressley and Bowman

Question of consideration at 201-212 currently. If all dems eventually vote (so 221-212), that would indicate Pelosi can lose 4 without needing to get any GOP.

I am fine with that as long as you also apply that to John McCain as well.

Oh, I waited for that answer. We all know why Senator McCain voted in the way he did. And we all know why these so-called "moderates" (actually no) are voting in the way they do. These situations are incomparable
