Of course, morality doesn't exist, but hypothetically if it did...

And I didn't include a 'NOTA' option.  Find one thing on the list that is morally accpetable.

Morally acceptable
 Divorce
Buying and wearing clothing made of animal fur
 Stem cell research
 Medical testing on animals
 Gambling
Sex between an unmarried man and woman
Having a baby outside of marraige
 Doctor-assisted suicide
 Homosexual relations
 Abortion
 Cloning animals
 Suicide

Morally unacceptable
 The death penalty
 Cloning Humans
 Polygamy
Married men and women having an affair

Actually I'm not really sure about human cloning but because of the problems associated with it I'd prefer not to mess around with it, although the only way we'll be able to increase our knowledge of it and decrease mistakes is through experimentation... tricky subject.  Adultery can also be acceptable if the partner being cheated on consents to it.

The only ones that I chose as morally unacceptable are buying and wearing clothing made of animal fur, cloning humans, polygamy, and married men and women having an affair.

The others are all acceptable in at least some circumstances, though it varies. Even the four listed above could be in some rare instances ok, but are going to be wrong the vast majority of the time. The others can and sometimes are morally wrong depending on circumstance, but aren't often enough unacceptable for me to choose them.

The toughest one for me was polygamy.  If all the parties involved consent to it I don't have much of an issue with it, other than that it reminds me of that airport in Salt Lake City with the Mormons that looked like pilgrims.  I voted that polygamy is morally acceptable.

Morally Acceptable:
 Divorce
Buying and wearing clothing made of animal fur
 Stem cell research
 Medical testing on animals
Sex between an unmarried man and woman
Having a baby outside of marraige
 Homosexual relations
Morally Unacceptable:
 Abortion
 Cloning animals
 Suicide
 The death penalty
 Cloning Humans
 Polygamy
Married men and women having an affair
 Gambling
 Doctor-assisted suicide

now that being said, just because i find something objectionable does NOT mean that i would vote against it.  it's not my place to dictate how other people live their lives or tell them what decision is best in their circumstance.

All acceptable bar the death penalty, abortion, cloning humans, polygamy and married men and women having an affair

Just because I consider some of the others acceptable don't mean I approve of them:

1. I don't like divorce (but accept its the only means of release from an abusive marriage)
2. I wouldn't wear clothes made with animal fur
3. I'd prefer babies born in wedlock
4. I don't like medical testing on animals but accept its necessary
5. I don’t particularly like the idea of someone taking his or her own life (suicide)

The others I'm fine with: stem-cell research, gambling, doctor-assisted suicide, premarital sex and homosexual relations - of course, I'd hope the later two occur within the context of a one-on-one, monogamous and committed relationship

All of these are morally acceptable except abortion, the death penalty, suicide, and maybe doctor-assisted suicide, except that's kind of a grey area.

I originally put 'obvious' in there because I assumed everyone knew about my opposition to gay marriage, and so in that context I added that adjective.

I'm surprised that there are so many people who are finding polygamy unacceptable.  It's not what I would care for myself, but at least you can find Biblical sanction for the practice.

All of these are 'morally acceptable' just like everything else.  But some people may subjectively dislike some of these things, primarily depending upon their interests.

Death penalty
Animal fur
Testing
Gambling (as long as you can control it)
Cloning Animals (But it can lead to the problem below)
Cloning Humans (But it could be a bad thing politically--using the humans as just "useless weapons"--so it has to be regulated.)

(By the way--divorce if you are in a really bad situation--cheating or abuse, but other than that, no, so I didn't vote for it)

Virginian87, why is sex outside of marriage OK, but having a baby not?

Well, I should say that sex outside of marriage is okay as long as one takes proper precautions, i.e. wearing a condom or using birth control.  As for the second, I believe that having a baby out of wedlock is unacceptable because of the effect that it would have on the child.  Having a mother and a father wedded and under the same roof has a largely positive effect in a child's development.  NOTE: That statement is not meant to be offensive to those with divorced parents

I find all but the last one acceptable. Some are unacceptable in certain circumstances, and some are not good ideas, but overall I don't have a problem with the general concept.
