It seems like everyone is celebrating.

Except Vox.

Which why everyone is celebrating.

And you what's funny? Ventura went to Madrid to be on Abascal's side. Cool Cool The guy only gives bad luck.

The PNV sounds strangely soft, not even compared to past elections. It should also be remembered that, outside the parties, Urkullu and Feijóo are personal friends. If Abascal gives up any kind of power, I think there is a good chance of another Rajoy.
No reason for him to do so.

98.85% of precincts reporting:

33.0% PP, 136 seats
31.7% PSOE, 122
12.4% Vox, 33
12.3% Sumar, 31

PSOE+Sumar+ERC+Bildu+PNV+BNG = 172
PP+Vox+CC+UPN= 171

Junts = 7

It's up to see a repeat election is the best for Junts. Those guys are unpredictable, otoh

Also, a CC spokesperson said they aren't compatible with Vox

Another big question: how long until Feijóo is replaced by Ayuso?

What...a...mess of an election.

I will mark on my diary a... December election?

The 2015-16/Apr.-Nov. 2019 timetable would mean a repeat election on either the last Sun. of Jan. or the first Sun. of Feb.

And, what about Moreno? Could we see a battle between them?

The Quebec law: every failed separatist party will inevitably shift their focus to milking as much money as possible from the central government.

I mean that was the whole point of Junts and ERC silently campaigning against each other last Catalonia election. Recent events have fortified not only the nationalist and anti-seperation camps, but also the divide in the nationalists between the radical/performative/uncompromising Junts and the more civil-headed ERC.

PP-VOX amount 45.3% (less than PP and Cs in 2016), while PSOE-SUMAR amount 44.1% (more than PSOE and UP in 2016)

Add peripheral nationalists (saving Junts) and there's a progressive majority in the so-called 'Spanish state'

We are a complex country

And, what about Moreno? Could we see a battle between them?

It's too early to answer that

Abascal congratulated Feijóo for winning the elections and for no longer needing Vox.

I assume this was a sarcastic remark, it still comes across as incredibly petty especially since the right probably could have governed had like 10% of VOX voters gone for the PP given the more efficient distribution of votes produced as a result.

Nonsrnse. The PP needs Vox in many regional and local governments. There's a massive amount of territorial power depending on Vox

Vox went from 6 to 1 seat allocated in Castilla-Leon where they govern with PP.

Abascal started his speech well noticing that everyone was celebrating when there is clearly a mess and another crisis on the horizon. And also leveraging his position well within this.

But then he went full conspiracy mode and reminded us why Vox are just forocoches with deodorant.

Eish... awkward. Feijóo was giving his speech, and the crowd started calling for Ayuso.

Feijóo asks for the Government of Spain to not be blocked and asked PSOE to let him govern as the loser of a general election has never become President.

Must say - there’s something *almost* amusingly petulant about a political leader turning to their opponent and saying “it’s not fair - just let me have it!”

The fact the camera just panned over to Ayuso so many times is kind of telling.
She's just waiting in the wings...

I heard that, too. It seems that Feijóo will make a desperate attempt to survive, claiming the party with the most votes has the right to govern. That's a fallacy. In a parliamentary system, the candidate who gets the support of a majority in parliament governs. The PP benefited from that system in many regions with PSOE pluralities in 2018-2019, including Andalusia and Madrid. In 2023 the PP came second in Extremadura and is governing with Vox.

Also, the PSOE's second place in this election is almost a victory. No recorded poll predicted that performance. Never understimate Perro Sánchez
