I'm not exactly sure which statement we're commenting on but I get the drift. States is NOT a terrorist just because he has the CSA  flag in his signature. To suggest otherwise is just plain nonsense. Geez, get a grip!

It has lost the "honorable" (if it ever had one) meaning because people have allowed it to.  To me, it was never an honorable meaning because it is just a historical symbol representing a period in our history when states banded together thinking they could break away from the union.  It's not racist, it's not redneck, and it's not radical.  It's just a piece of history, just like the many variations of our flag through the years, as news stars (and in one case, stripes) were added.

The first part I agree.  The Confederate flag symbolizes a bloody rebellion consisting of triaitors who turned their back of their country and fought to kill the US Army.  They are nor different than any other enemy that the US military valiantly fought.  Therefore waving it means you support rebellion and againwant to detroy the US.

The second part is too extreme and I disagree.

However my strong sentiments about the Confederate flag and the Insurgency against the United States lead me to vote yes.

I don't believe that all people who fly the flag of Johnny Reb are full on traitors (Although I still have serious doubts about my jackass neighbor who can't park his truck). I do think the flag does symbolize a rebellion to this country, so I wonder why states put it on thier flags, but other than that, I don't fly that flag, nor would I ever, but most of the people who fly it are normal people.

I can't say that all people who fly that flag aren't rascists though.

Actually, you see quite a few of both at KKK rallies. As for the neo-nazis, you'll see a hell of alot more swastika's than American flags.

Oh, btw... The scene in Mississippi Burning where Gene Hackman bitch-slaps those KKK guys is one of my favorites of all time. (I know it's not accurate, but it made me cheer like hell)

Yes he and all supporters of the war in Iraq are terrorists or terrorist sympathizers and are no better than the people who cheered in the streets of Palestine after 9/11.

And yes if you wave the Confederate flag you are signaling that you want the United States to be destroyed.  It has two meanings that and that you advocate slavery and racism.
