Safe R. She'll be fine, even in the primary.

Can the SC GOP gerrymander that seat?

Depends on the environment. Mace barely won this year despite strong Trump voter turnout. She's not inevitable.

She's very disloyal.

That was against a Democratic incumbent in a district that is more educated than others in the state. Mace's tenure, so far, suggests that she is aware of this and is going out of her way to be as inoffensive as possible to those educated voters and to the Trump base as well.

I wouldn't be shocked if Mace lost a primary, but either way, the race is Safe R.

It's not hard for the SC-GOP to make the district redder. Clyburn's neighboring district is running low on population and can take in some of the bluer parts of Charlottesville

Her district will probably be more gerrymandered, so she’ll easily win in 2022, but she could be in trouble in 2026 if a Republican wins in 2024.
