Baring any major revelations, Biden will be the first President since Reagan to go undefeated in his first round of cabinet appointments.

You definitely just jinxed it.

Unless Hawley continues continues his stupid schtick(or Cruz or Paul for that matter), I would assume Buttigieg could get it for VA,maybe Raimondo? Whoever is in charge of the VA as well

Does the VP swear everyone in?

How many cabinet posts are officially confirmed now? I know Austin, Yellen, Blinken, anybody else I’m missing?

Avril Haines for DNI, though that's just a cabinet level position, and not cabinet cabinet

The full Senate vote for Mayorkas will take place tomorrow; his name has been added to the executive calendar for 1/27. With the committee vote on Buttigieg tomorrow, it also seems likely that he will get his full Senate vote on Thursday.

The calendar is not a vote order, just a list of who is reported out of committee. No vote has actually been scheduled.

I am surprised that a vote on Mayorkas wasn't scheduled for today. Dem Senators have been saying that there shouldn't be any sort of delay on him, so why delay? They could easily schedule a vote today and get that done.

You'd think a man who won his election by a quarter of a point would be less partisan.

The power-sharing agreement still needs to be formalized

I didn't know that Mayorkas would be so controversial. Bad news for Tanden.

Not really. Tanden will still get confirmed as long as Kamala shows up, the only problem being that the Senate will likely be forced to eat up days of floor time on her nomination too. Moreso bad news for the Senate than for her.

I think that Manchin will vote no on Tanden. Sinema may vote no as well.

Neither of them have said or done a single thing that would indicate their opposition to her.
