B/c Bernie isn’t going to waste everyone’s time torpedoing random Biden nominees just to be a pain in the ***; there are important policy issues to deal with and time is very much not on our side.

So should we expect a full Senate vote tomorrow, or could Schumer add it to the agenda for after Senators are sworn in for the impeachment trial?

17 NO votes so far on Blinken's nomination. The most NO votes for a Biden nominee so far.

Looks like the Pubs aren't trying to derail any of these nominations.  Surprised?

A little.

I'm actually surprised how many yes votes the pubs are putting up here, to be honest.

When they get around to the domestic policy nominees I expect we'll start to see more ~60-40 or 55-45 votes. Mayorkas's committee vote cut it pretty close.

Raimondo will probably breeze through.

She generally has a very anti-union, corporatist record as governor. She also has overseen failures in the healthcare system in her state and she endorsed Mike Bloomberg for president.

Great to see Blinken confirmed. He's one of the best nominees Biden put forward and I'm sure he'll do an excellent job to represent the United States and work closely with allies to tackle urgent and global problems that can't be addressed with an America alone attitude.

I wonder whether Hawley is going to vote for any Biden nominee. He's definitely competing with Cruz and Blackburn for title of worst senator in the 117th congress.

Merrick Garland?   I know Cornyn at least has come out in favor already.

Most contentious I expect to be Tanden and Beccara.

There's a widespread inaccurate perception that what happened about Garland's SCOTUS nomination was personal. Which it arguably was, but if so, the person it was personal about was Obama, not Garland.

Lee, Hawley, Cruz, Graham, and Kennedy will try to turn the hearing into a three-ring circus though.  Mayorkas will probably be a close-ish vote; you’ll see demands to investigate the 2020 results, Hunter Biden, and all that nonsense.  I agree about Tenden and Beccara being contentious.

Yeah this sounds correct.  I'm quite interested in the final vote on Garland when it happens.

I expect Garland to get at least 65 votes in the Senate fwiw. McConnell has told Biden he supports him.

I could see him going either way, but the other four definitely won’t vote for him

Baring any major revelations, Biden will be the first President since Reagan to go undefeated in his first round of cabinet appointments.
