Considering he now considers Brian Kemp of all people a RINO, who the hell knows.  He’s been acting extra stupid lately.

Only those who views as disloyal. Said people are just RINOs in his view. Mr. Trump sees the GOP as a cult, and anyone not 100% in line is a traitor.

He will not turn on the whole party, because they allow him to have influence.

Trump has, and will continue, to turn on anyone who doesn't completely support whatever bat-s*** crazy idea he's promoting at any given moment. As long as the GOP leaders believe their electoral fortunes rely on hardcore Trumpers, they'll continue following his lunacy like the sheep they are.

Yep, Kemp, who's been kissing Trump's butt for years, suddenly decided to rig an election against him.

Not the whole party but I don't see why his current attacks on Kemp would stop and I expect that to continue and perhaps others will be similarly attacked.

Trump will toss anyone out in the trash the minute they are no longer of any use to him.

The cautionary tale of what happened to Jeff Sessions should have been a warning to all this. Sessions instinctively realized that a Southerner running on a nationalist platform was not winnable, he sought out a Northerner, first Romney as far back as 2005 and then Trump to run on a tough on immigration policy.

Sessions was at the vanguard policy wise of a more nationalist GOP, Trump's more nationalist advisors came out of his political orbit even, and when someone succeeded at this and was elected, he was given the opportunity to become AG and bring his enforcement approach to fruition with an administration on board with his vision and not playing both sides or outright embracing open borders.

Sessions became Attorney General to get Immigration under control, what he found out was that Trump expected him to be his personal attorney and cover up all of Trump's legal missteps resulting from sheer stupidity, incompetence and lack of adherence to protocol and standards. I regard the whole existence of the Russia situation as a self inflicted wound born out of lack of care and regards for legal pitfalls that was 100% avoidable on Trump's part whether or not their was illegal surveillance by Obama's administration.

Sessions to his credit refused to do this and recused himself, and a life time of commitment to conservative principles, being at the vanguard of the GOP's nationalist transformation and early support among Senators for Trump was rewarded with a kick under the bus and the destruction of his career.

Kemp is a solid conservative and was a loyal trumpist. The problem is Trumpism right now is not defined by nationalism, conservatism or any other issue litmus test. It is defined by whether or not you are willing to swear a blood oath above God, Constitution and Country, of loyalty to a single man who thinks the whole universe revolves around him.

Kemp supported and campaigned for Trump during the election. Trump lost Georgia because of his handling of Covid, mocking the masks and so forth and possibly also because he attacked mail-in voting and discouraged its use possibly costing him the votes of seniors who might not be able to get to the polls (white seniors in GA are probably like 85% Republican, so think about it with those margins, a couple thousand with low mobility can make a big impact). Kemp did his part in the campaign, Trump screwed himself. Trump now expects Kemp to break the law and steal the state because Trump pissed the state away, in essence to break the system to clean up another of his messes. Kemp thought he could do his job, follow the law and support and campaign for Trump and still be a loyal supporter of the President. That is not how Trump operates.

To anyone that still supports this man, to anyone who would rather sin by silence then speak out, what is going to happen when it is your turn and when there is no one left to stand up. I guess at that point, you were just another RINO, huh. Ridiculous!

I think the ending to all of this that everyone deserves is for Trump to start campaigning for the 2024 nomination the day after he leaves office, suck up all the money and attention and keep everyone else too scared to launch a campaign lest they be seen as "running against Trump," and then have Trump decide some time in 2023 that, actually, the GOP is a bunch of low energy traitors who were very bad and very unfair to him. So he's going to run as an independent. He runs one of the laziest, most incompetent campaigns ever, vacuuming up money from his eager marks and funneling it into his hotels and golf courses for "campaign expenses." Don Junior runs for US Senate in Montana as an independent on an informal ticket/alliance of sorts with his father. Neither do particularly well but they do just well enough to play a spoiler, prevent the GOP from winning the White House and also let Jon Tester win a fourth term in the Senate.

It's possible. I had a dream that Trump started a new political party--literally called the Trump Party--and ran under that banner in 2024.

That's not entirely accurate. Trump is loyal to people who are loyal to him. Trump was simply asking him to fight a little bit harder and he has refused to do so. Plenty of Trump allies are not total kiss a**es: Chris Christie for example. What people are upset about is most Republicans think the Democrats used the COVID situation to change some of the voting rules to their advantage for example in PA. Trump supporters are sick of Republicans asking for their votes and then they don't fight for issues they campaigned on. Democrats seem to fight harder than Republicans, besides Trump. You are making it a black and white issue. Trump is a fighter. That is who he is and always has been. If Kemp didn't want to deal with ever having any political pressure on him he should have never run for office. He seems like a guy who wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to run for office and support Trump but not actually do anything when push comes to shove to actually support Republicans. He is a typical establishment politician.

What if he runs for president in 2024 and after he gets the nomination (uncontested). He starts to support abortion, and amnesty for 11 million illegal immigrants and supports taxes on the rich as a way to get revenge on the GOP establishment?

Following the law should be a black and white issue.

There is a time and place to fight like hell for your beliefs and values, but too me it doesn't look like that is what is happening here. It looks like we are surrendering everything in the myopic quest to save a single man who doomed himself.

From my view of things I see a bunch of people stirred up by liars and shysters actively trying to undermine our side to help Trump without care or concern to the long term impact much less the short term political impact and by extension serving as useful idiots for the left in GA. I don't place any value on "fighting tooth and nail" when by doing so you hand the Democrats the key's to the kingdom. To me this looks like a herd of cattle running off the cliff, meanwhile the Democrats are laughing all the way to the bank.

Trump's value was his ability to succeed for the right, if people's attachment to him facilitates the left's success then his supporters might as well just put on the maroon avatar because the effect is the same. At a certain point, fighting blindly becomes Quixotic and counterproductive and ends up helping the other side and we have reached that point.

Also talk to many Democrats, they would take issue with the notion that they "fight harder than the Republicans", many of them are beyond fed up with their own party on much the same grounds ironically.

Looking into the election more, having a signature is audit is inappropriate? I agree if Trump is asking him to do stuff that is unethical that is obviously wrong but my larger point is before Trump many Republicans didn't think Republicans were fighting hard enough.

I'm not lucky enough for this to happen.

If it did, and he took his cult on a 3rd party thing in 2024, I could see him securing Biden or Harris's reelection.

It's called over correction. Going too much in the opposite direction. Also this risks the Nixon trap thinking that the other side is doing certain things and using that to justify even worse things on your side. Two wrongs don't make a right.

To your larger point, yes the GOP establishment failed us on a number of fronts and that is why we ended up with Trump, realizing that though, isn't going to entice me to join the herd following the pied piper into oblivion.

If GA law doesn't permit Kemp to order a signature audit then yes that is illegal.
